Looking back at history, what kind of development path does China need to take?
Learning from foreigners to control foreigners, looking at the modern history of China and the modern history of the world, we come to a conclusion that the more backward the place is, the more vulnerable it is to foreign aggression. The strength of a country and region is the strength of its people, not the strength of its national machinery. Even if the state machine is as powerful as the Soviet Union, once it loses the support of the people, it will collapse immediately. Since the Qing Dynasty, China has been invaded and treated unfairly by foreign powers, while the Japanese island country, not far east of China, is short of resources. Why can it occupy a place among international powers? It is nothing more than the people are rich and the country is strong. How does China develop? The road we traveled with the Soviet Union in the early days of liberation tells us that no system is perfect and no system is without defects after its establishment. To avoid stepping into the tragedy of system design again, we can only learn and practice. In fact, the systems, laws and mechanisms of many countries in the world are superior to ours. We can learn from them, absorb and practice according to our own national conditions, so as to find a suitable method and system. This is the so-called learning from foreigners to control foreigners. At the same time, we should learn to absorb its essence and discard its dross.

Second, correct what we did wrong before. Know history, learn to admit history, we have done something wrong before, whether in the Qing Dynasty, after the war of liberation or after the reform and opening up. We should learn to admit and correct anything that can stand the test of time and doesn't work. This is the case with state-owned enterprises, and so is the state monopoly. Today's overdrawn land resources will not stop, and tomorrow will bring great pain to future generations. Change what you can see at once. Only by correcting mistakes can new things come in.

Third, adhere to the unity of all ethnic groups and regions to ensure that civil strife does not occur in the country. Civil strife is the most consuming thing of national resources. The past history is in front of us, and no one wants to see it again.

Fourth, maintain a consistent neutral attitude in the international community. Only develop the economy, not be competitive.
