Shandong is the region with the largest number of Han stone reliefs. Nearly 3,000 Han stone reliefs have been found in more than 60 counties and cities in the province, among which Luzhong and Lunan are the most representative. Most of the works belong to the Eastern Han Dynasty. Works belonging to the early Eastern Han Dynasty, represented by Zhang Tomb in Luanzhen Village of Feicheng and Guo Temple in Xiaoshan Hall of Changqing. The former was made by Wang Ci, a stonemason in the eighth year of the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 83). There are portraits of attacking and fighting, fishing and hunting, music and dancing, feasting and Nu Wa Fuxi, some of which are slightly concave, with smooth lines and neat pictures. The latter is roughly the works of Emperor Zhang and Emperor He in the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 76- 105), which is similar to the former in stone carving content, composition techniques, carving techniques and border patterns. These works are outlined with negative lines, with thick shovel lines, simplicity and a strong sense of Gu Zhuo. The important works in the middle and late Eastern Han Dynasty include the stone relief of Yongjian Dining Hall in Liangcheng Mountain, Jining City, Shandong Province, the stone relief of Wu Shique in the first year of Jiaxiang (A.D. 147), the stone relief of Anqiu, the stone relief of Han Tomb in Zhucheng, Shandong Province, the portrait of Wu Shanshi Society in the fifth year of Linzi Xiping (A.D. 176) and Teng. During this period, the method of portrait stone carving developed to mainly reduce the surface and outline the negative line, and also adopted many ways such as meat carving, fine meat carving and line carving, especially the negative line carving, which had smooth lines and neat and smooth overall style, which was significantly different from the heavy Gu Zhuo style in the early Eastern Han Dynasty. Roughly in the first year of Di Xian Xingping (A.D. 194), because Shandong was in a state of war, the stone relief tomb was no longer built, and the stone relief art came to an end.
