According to Li Daoyuan's Notes on Water Classics: "In the sixth year of Emperor Gaozu, Guan Ying was ordered to govern Zhangyu County." In the early Tang Dynasty, Zhang Yu New Town was rebuilt in the northwest corner of Guancheng. Made of blue bricks, it is more than twice as big as Guancheng when it meets lime ditch. Because it was built in the Tang Dynasty, it is also called "Tang Cheng" or "Fucheng". Now the urban area of Nanchang is gradually formed on the basis of "Fucheng". Zhang Yucheng experienced changes over the years and did not settle down until the Ming Dynasty.

Second, Hongzhou Sui Dynasty changed Zhang Yu County to Hongzhou Dudufu, and soon changed it back to its original name. In the Tang Dynasty, China experienced a long history, and the organizational system of Nanchang changed many times. In 622, during the Wude period, Zhang Yu was changed to Hongcheng, and the general manager's office was established. By the Southern Tang Dynasty in the Five Dynasties, it was originally called Hongzhou, and it has become a metropolis in the south of the Yangtze River.

3. Zhong Ling In 762, during the Baoying period of the Tang Dynasty, Zhang Yu County was renamed Zhong Ling County to avoid being handed down from generation to generation. During Zhenyuan period from 785 to 804, Zhong Ling County was changed to Nanchang County, and the blind areas included Nanchang, Xinjian and Jinxian.

Fourth, Longxing (Longxing)

In the early years of the Northern Song Dynasty, Nanchang was still called Hongzhou, which belonged to Zhang Yu County. 1 164 was renamed Longxing House, and the city was expanded on the basis of the Tang system. Yuan Dynasty changed to Longxing Road. Later, because of taboo, the word "long" was changed to "long road", which is the custom of Jiangxi Province.

Nanchang was named "Nanchang" twice in history.

During the Tang, Song and Five Dynasties, Li Jing, the leader of the Southern Tang Dynasty, thought that the capital Jiankang (now Nanjing) was separated from the enemy and could not be kept. He decided to move the capital to Zhang Yu one by one, and promoted Hongzhou to the "Nanchangfu", where Nandu was built.

In the early Ming Dynasty, Nanchang was called Hongdu House, and later renamed Nanchang House, which belonged to Nanrui Road and followed the Ming system in the Qing Dynasty. In the early years of the Republic of China, the state capital was abolished, and Jiangnan was divided into four roads, and Nanchang belonged to Yuzhang Road. 1926, the Northern Expeditionary Army entered Nanchang and officially established the city.
