Wangfujing used to be an unknown small village. It was not until Kublai Khan came to Beijing to make its capital that more and more people settled here, thus forming a street selling vegetables. Later, in the Ming Dynasty, more than 10 palaces were built around Wangfujing, and they were renamed as No.10 Wang Fu Street, which was the original name of Wangfujing. Later, with the demise of the Ming Dynasty, there were only eight palaces left in the street, so the cross in front was removed.

Wangfujing Street actually has a long history. 1996 During the construction of the Oriental Plaza, cultural sites in the late Paleolithic period were discovered, and people once lived in this street more than 25,000 years ago. ?
