Is the first split air conditioner in China produced by Kelon Air Conditioning?
The history of making air conditioners in China began in the 1960s. Shanghai refrigerator factory successfully developed the first window air conditioner in China for the first time, but it was only used by some special departments at that time. At this time, nearly a century has passed since the invention of ammonia refrigerator. 1974, Taizhou Radio Component No.9 Factory, the predecessor of Chunlan Group, developed the first CKF-3A window air conditioner at the request of Shanghai No.1 Company and passed the appraisal, with the trademark of "Cedar". 1987, Chunlan developed a new 7000-kcal 70DS air conditioner. 1988, the first split wall-mounted air conditioner KF- 19G 1A was born in Huabao Air Conditioning Factory. Huabao people gave it a poetic name-"Snow Lotus", which means that like the lotus in the snow, it not only gives people a cold world, but also gives people a good omen. 1996, Huabao Air Conditioning Factory took the lead in developing the 220V single-phase electric second cabinet machine KFR-45LW for families. Different from previous domestic enterprises spinning and improving air conditioners by dissecting and mapping foreign products, this is a new product completely invented by China air conditioner manufacturers. The introduction of two cabinets has changed the situation that traditional cabinets have large refrigeration capacity (mostly more than three cabinets) and high power consumption, and they must use 380V three-phase power supply, which can not enter ordinary families and can only be used in public places. Since then, the sales of two cabinets have rapidly surpassed three or more cabinets and become the first category of cabinets. In view of the irreplaceable market position of the two cabinets, Japanese air-conditioning enterprises and domestic counterparts have also launched related models. The launch of Huabao No.2 cabinet is also the only major breakthrough in product innovation in China air-conditioning industry so far.
