What is the origin of Yanqiao Road in Hefei?
Yanqiao Road, located in Feixi County, Hefei City, Anhui Province, is named after revolutionary martyrs Chen Yannian and Chen Qiaonian.

Yanqiao Road runs north-south, with a total length of about 1.2km. Its northern end is connected with Fanhua Avenue, and its southern end is connected with Tangkou Road. Less than 1km to the east is the north-south Jixian Road.

The road area where Yanqiao Road is located is mostly named after Anqing area, and it is rarely named after people. The reason why we chose "Yanqiao" is because Chen Yannian and Chen Qiaonian are both from Huaining, Anqing, and also to commemorate the outstanding contributions made by the martyrs, which just echoes the nearby Jixian Road and the bustling avenue and is more symbolic.

In addition, many north-south longitudinal roads west of Yanqiao Road are named after famous old friends, such as Deng Jiaxian Road, Yan Fengying Road, Wang Buwen Road and Cheng Changgeng Road.
