The Historical Evolution of Baohe Town
Baohe Town used to be a hillside covered with wild smoke and weeds. In the spring of the sixth year of Yongzheng in Qing Dynasty (1728), the first Chief Justice Chen Quan chose the building wall here as Weixi Hall. Since then, immigrants, mainly Han Chinese, have been pouring in, and most of them live here. For more than 260 years, it has been the political, economic and cultural center of the county. In Qing Dynasty, it was directly under the jurisdiction of Weixi Hall. In the second year of the Republic of China (19 13), the abandoned hall was set up as a county, which was called the urban area. In the 25th year of the Republic of China (1936), the experimental town was changed to "Baohua Town", which belonged to the first district. After the establishment of People's Republic of China (PRC), it was still classified as the first district, and 1953 was renamed as Baohe Town to safeguard world peace. During the Cultural Revolution, it was renamed "Hongqi Town". 1975, the jurisdiction of Yongchun commune was changed to the county jurisdiction, and the district-level Baohe town commune was established. 1984 in may, the government and society were separated and the people's government of baohe town was established. There are/kloc-0 sub-district offices in charge of 7 residents' groups; There are 1 rural offices responsible for 13 agricultural cooperatives.
