Where was Wengcheng in the Three Kingdoms Period?
During the Three Kingdoms period, Wengcheng was in Zhenjiang. Tieweng City is the best preserved San'guo City site in China, and it is also the symbol of Zhenjiang, a famous historical and cultural city.

Tiewengcheng, also known as Jing (Jingkou) City and Zicheng. The earliest and most authoritative record is that Gu Wangye of the Southern Dynasties described in the book Historical Records: "It was built by Sun Quan, Emperor Wu of the Southern Dynasties, and the north and south returned to the road, with a total of 630 steps, with internal and external brick walls." Although simple, the basic elements of the city are roughly explained. In the 13th year of Jian 'an (2008), Sun Quan moved the political center from Suzhou Wu to the capital (now Zhenjiang), which happened in Battle of Red Cliffs in. Although Sun Quan was not a king at that time, Tiewengcheng actually had the status and pattern of a king city. In the poems of Emperor Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty, the heroic risk of Tiewengcheng was described as "half a smoke clears the sky and the situation controls Wu Dong". 20 13 May, it was approved and announced by the State Council as the seventh batch of national key cultural relics protection units.

Zhenjiang "Tieweng City" is the three ancient capitals of Dongwu during the Three Kingdoms period. Zhenjiang Tieweng City is unique because of its earliest construction, the most complete preservation of relics and the only brick wall built to protect the city. Researcher Liu Jianguo, honorary director of Zhenjiang Ancient City Archaeological Research Institute, has devoted 15 years to the archaeological work in Tieweng City. Recently, the reporter interviewed him specially.

Many people in Zhenjiang know a good story. There is an ancient road in Zhenjiang city, which was delayed because of Tiewengcheng. As the earliest city in Zhenjiang and the political, military and cultural center of state organs and government agencies in past dynasties, it is a miracle that the ruins of Tiewengcheng can be completely preserved.
