Fengxian Museum was founded in 1960s, closed during the Cultural Revolution and rebuilt on May 20th. 1994. Huang, deputy director of Shanghai Museum, Xu Gensheng, former secretary of Fengxian County Party Committee, Xiang Guanfan, county magistrate, Sun, deputy county magistrate and Qian Guanghui, director of Cultural Bureau attended the opening ceremony. Huang, deputy director of the Shanghai Museum and chairman of the China Archaeological Society, unveiled the Fengxian Museum.
