Chengbu Miao Autonomous County belongs to Shaoyang City, Hunan Province, and is located in the southwest border of Hunan Province, upstream of Wushui, a tributary of Yuanjiang River, with the latitude of 25.58 58' ~ 26 42' north and the longitude of109 58' ~10 37' east. Rulin Town is under the county administration, 438 kilometers away from Changsha, the provincial capital. It is adjacent to Xinning County in the east, Suining and Tongdao Dong Autonomous County in the west, Ziyuan and Longsheng Autonomous County in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in the south and Wugang City in the north. It is 65 kilometers wide from east to west and 83 kilometers long from north to south, with a total administrative area of 2647.07 square kilometers.
