Brief introduction to the history of Beidaihe Station
In the 19th year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty (1893), the Tang (Mountain)-Xugong (Gezhuang) railway line was ancient, and Luanxian extended to Beidaihe. In the 26th year of Guangxu (1900), Germany lived by the sea. In order to transport materials and military supplies, Beidaihe Station built a railway branch line to Xiaoxinzhuang, which was demolished on 19 14. 19 17 Beiyang government built a railway branch line from Beidaihe Station to Haining Road on the seashore, with a total length of 9.96 kilometers. At first, it runs every summer, and 1934 runs all summer. The line was demolished by the Japanese at 1944. This is the embryonic form of the first railway tourism branch line in China. The roadbed was later changed to the road from Beidaihe Station to the seaside, which is now Haining Road. The railway branch line in those days has now become a spacious tourist highway.

In the early days of Beidaihe Station, there were ticket offices and waiting rooms in the north of the line, and there were passenger platforms and freight platforms in the station. To 1936, there will be two passenger platforms and one freight platform on the south side of the line. 1950: More than 70 square meters of ticket office, waiting room and luggage room were newly built. 1984 beidaihe station is located on the south side of the railway, with newly built ticket office, waiting room, luggage room, small storage room and broadcasting room, covering an area of1200m2. 1999165438+10, Beidaihe Station was rebuilt. The waiting room moved westward and the square was expanded, and the original small waiting room was built into a two-story waiting building of 4896 square meters. Newly built 1400 square meter waiting shed corridor to solve the problem of passenger waiting in summer; A new viaduct was built to solve the convection problem of passengers entering and leaving the station. At the same time, the cargo transportation business was cancelled and changed to a passenger station.
