How does Windows XP view the historical shutdown or startup time?
There is a behavior of "system startup time"

It describes the total time from startup to now.

In Windows XP, we can check the startup and shutdown time of the computer through the event log service of the event viewer. Because the event log service will start and close with the computer and leave a record in the event log.

It is necessary to introduce two ID numbers here: 6006 and 6005. The event with ID number 6006 in the event viewer indicates that the event log service has stopped. If the event with the ID number of 6006 is not found in the event viewer that day, it means that the computer did not shut down normally, which may be caused by system reasons or by directly pressing the power button of the computer without normal shutdown operation. When you start the system, the event log service of Event Viewer will start, which is an event with ID number of 6005.

Through the information saved by these two ID numbers, we can easily check the computer's startup and shutdown records: open the control panel, double-click the management tool, then open the event viewer and select the system options in the window on the left. Click the right mouse button, select Properties in the shortcut menu that pops up, select the Filter tab in the opened system properties window, select the information option under the event type, and select the eventlog option in the event source list. After setting other conditions, click OK to see the required event record.
