China's traditional tribute system gave China blind confidence, so it was impossible to be like the Japanese. At present, China's traditional policy of attaching importance to agriculture and restraining business inhibits the development of commodity economy, making it impossible for capitalism to appear in China. However, the modern national bourgeoisie was weak and could not lead China to complete the modernization process.
