What was the Zheng Long Bridge in Zheng Long, Hai 'an, Nantong, Jiangsu before?
Before liberation, Zhenglong Bridge was called "Road Bridge". It's just a wooden bridge, which is said to have been built by a monk. After the establishment of People's Republic of China (PRC) (the exact time is unknown), it was built at the expense of the people's government and renamed as "Ren Minqiao". It is a three-story bridge with cement piles and its width is less than 2m. In the early 1980s (about 198 1 to 1982), the Hai (An) Qiu (Lake) Highway was built, the cement slab bridge was demolished, and Ren Minqiao was rebuilt in situ. That is a reinforced concrete arch bridge with cement railings. The bridge is slightly higher and narrower than it is now, and only 1 vehicles can pass. At the end of last century, the bridge was rebuilt in the old site of Ren Minqiao, which is what it is now, and it was renamed as "Zhenglong Bridge" (corresponding to Zhenglong East Bridge, formerly known as "Hongqi Bridge"; Zhenglong West Bridge, now west of Zheng Long Central Primary School; Zheng Long North Bridge, located in Zheng Long Village 1 1 group). However, when it comes to "roads and bridges", almost all middle-aged and elderly people in Zheng Long know it. Road and bridge is not only a bridge, but also a representative of the coastal north-south business circle centered on it.
