In ancient times, the distinction between status and class was particularly obvious. If ministers are blinded by power, they are prone to be overbearing and arbitrary, and nine times out of ten they will be discredited, even lose their personal lives, or be implicated by the nine clans. Nian Gengyao, the historical figure we are going to tell today, is also such an ancient minister who was blinded by power. He was very capable and once held a high position, but he was finally executed by Yongzheng.

Among the many emperors in Qing Dynasty, Yongzheng was a great monarch. He made a great contribution to the development and prosperity of the Qing Dynasty. Kangxi had many sons, and Yongzheng was the fourth. He has no other advantages except talent and ideal ambition. But he can win in the bitter struggle for the position of Jiuzi. Nian Gengyao's favor can be illustrated by a story: once, Yongzheng gave Nian Gengyao a litchi, and arranged for the post office to send someone to gallop for preservation. It took only six days for this litchi to travel from Beijing to An 'an, which is really a "smile on the world of mortals", comparable to the "smile on the world of mortals" in Tang Dynasty, showing that Yongzheng attached importance to Nian Gengyao, a powerful minister. However, being favored is one thing, and recognizing and understanding the emperor's heart is another. Nian Gengyao is a courtier who doesn't understand the emperor's heart. He only saw Yongzheng's reuse and care for him, but he couldn't see Yongzheng's worries. As a hero, Nian Gengyao's talent is outstanding. Needless to say, he was naturally respected by the audience as the patron saint of the Qing Dynasty, and Yongzheng's connivance made him arrogant to the extreme.

In the early years of Yongzheng, rectifying bureaucracy and punishing corruption was an important reform measure at that time. Nian Gengyao, as the minister of the DPRK, set up his own house at such a juncture and committed crimes against the wind. The amount of corruption, bribery and erosion of money and grain totaled several million and two thousand. Yongzheng was dissatisfied with him, and he didn't commit crimes against the wind, which was equivalent to giving himself a handle.

In addition, because I don't know the new emperor, I think Yong Zhengdi is good to him, and there will be no accident. So he made a big taboo, and he was less afraid of Yongzheng's courtiers. The specific performance is that Nian Gengyao often runs amok in front of Yongzheng, saying that "there is no formal ceremony." He thought it was no big deal, but Yongzheng was very unhappy when he saw this. He is really above ten thousand people under one person, but he only sees the scenery above ten thousand people, but he doesn't see the danger under one person, and forgets the eternal advice that "a friend of a gentleman's is a friend of mine." Nian Gengyao, whose scenery was infinite, was not only arrogant, but also exposed himself, and was finally sentenced to death by Yong Zhengdi. His wife was originally of royal descent, so it was lucky to be sent back to her family. The rest of the concubines were sentenced to death and ended in tragedy; To make matters worse, Nian Gengyao's daughter, who had already been betrothed to the descendants of the Confucius family in Qufu, was divorced by the Confucius family because of her father's conviction.
