It was learned from the press conference that Fang Shuijing Site was listed as "National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit" and Shuijing Street Brewery Site Museum was established. Among the fifth batch of national key cultural relics protection units recently announced by the State Council, Chengdu Shuijing Street Brewery Site was lucky enough to be selected.
According to Yang, chairman of Chengdu Quanxing Group, the unit in charge of cultural relics protection, Quanxing Company accidentally discovered an underground site at the technical transformation site 1998 in August, which was jointly excavated by the provincial cultural relics and archaeology department and officially excavated at 1999 in March. Shuijing Street Brewery Site is the first ancient brewery site discovered scientifically in China. It can be traced back to the Ming Dynasty and has been continuously produced for 500 to 600 years. It can be called the wordless history book of China Liquor. The excavation of Shuijing Street winery site fills the gap in archaeological excavation of winery site in China.
Later, the site of Fang Shuijing was awarded the certificate of Guinness World's oldest brewing workshop by Guinness World Headquarters. Substantial progress has been made in the protection of the origin of famous wines in Fang Shuijing and the declaration of food cultural heritage in China.
It is reported that since Fang Shuijing was announced as a national key cultural relics protection unit, there are 64 national key cultural relics protection units in our province, ranking fifth in the country.
It is also known that the preparatory work for the Shuijing Street Brewery Site Museum has entered the formal implementation stage. The site construction period is expected to be before the end of June next year, and the museum will be completed and opened before the National Day in 2003.
