Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport is located in Zhongchuan Town, Yongdeng County, Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, China, about 75 kilometers away from the city center. It is a 4E-class international airport, one of the major airports in Northwest China, the air gateway of Lanzhou, the capital of Gansu Province, an important airport in Northwest China and an international alternate airport.

Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport has 1 runway, which is 4000m long and 60m wide. T 1 and T2 terminals cover an area of about 90,000 square meters with 38 stands. It is equipped with two-way Class I precision approach instrument landing system and Class I approach lighting system, which can meet the requirements of safe take-off and landing of large aircraft such as B747 and A330.

Historical evolution:

Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport was founded in the late 1960s and officially opened to traffic on July 26th 1970. It was named Lanzhou Zhongchuan Airport. 200 1 complete the first phase expansion project; In 20 13, it was officially upgraded to an international air port and renamed as Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport. The second phase expansion project was completed in the beginning of 20 15. On September 9, 2020, the third phase expansion project of Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Field officially started construction.

On February 28th, 20021/KLOC-0, the steel roof truss of finger gallery D of Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport Phase III expansion project was capped.
