1, Peking University
Among the institutions of higher learning in China, Peking University was the first to establish an archaeological teaching and research institution. 1922, the Archaeological Research Office under the Department of Chinese Studies in Peking University; 1952 archaeology major is established in the history department.
The history of archaeology in Peking University is almost as long as that in China. Since its establishment, several generations of scholars have made great efforts to develop the major into an archaeological and cultural college with complete infrastructure, wide subject coverage and strong teaching and scientific research strength, and trained a large number of outstanding professionals, making great contributions to the development of archaeology in China.
2. Northwest University
The archaeological discipline of Northwest University started with the investigation and excavation of Zhang's tomb on 1938. Under the overall guidance of 1956 Ministry of Education and National Cultural Heritage Administration, Northwest University opened the second major of archaeology and the first major of cultural relics protection technology in China on 1989, and took the lead in setting up the direction of cultural relics management in 2008.
A trinity discipline development system and talent training model with the goal of inheriting the core values of cultural heritage, archaeology as the cognitive system, cultural relics protection technology as the preservation system and cultural heritage management as the realization system has been constructed, which has played an important role in demonstrating and leading universities and industries across the country and is an important force in cultural relics talent training and scientific research in China. Archaeology was rated as "A+" in the fourth round of discipline evaluation, and now it is a national "world-class construction discipline".
3. Shandong University
The archaeological discipline of Shandong University originated in the 1920s. From 65438 to 0928, Mr. Wu Jinding, a teaching assistant in cheeloo university, discovered the Chengziya site in Longshan Town, marking the beginning of archaeology in our school. During the period of 1934, an archaeological team composed of teachers and students from the departments of literature and history and biology participated in the excavation of the tengxian Anshang site by the Institute of History and Language of Academia Sinica, which marked the beginning of archaeological research in our university.
Combined with the idea of cultivating students for many years, the trinity teaching system of "classroom-field-laboratory (museum)" was creatively put forward and established, which expanded students' academic horizons and optimized their skills development, and played a leading role in the reform of archaeological teaching.
4. Jilin University
The archaeological teaching and research activities of Jilin University began in the mid-1950s, and the Archaeological Teaching and Research Section of the Department of History was established in 1962. 1972, archaeologist Zhang Zhongpei founded the archaeology major in Jilin University. 1987, the Department of Archaeology of Jilin University was established independently.
200 1 The Department of Archaeology was merged into the Faculty of Arts. From 2065438 to June 2008, Jilin University established an independent archaeological research institute, which consists of pre-Qin archaeology department, historical archaeology department, foreign archaeology department, science and technology archaeology department, literal archaeology department, cultural heritage department and museum department.
