This "enclave" is located in Jilin Province, northeast of China, adjacent to Fang Chuan Village, Russia and North Korea. Fang Chuan Village is only 15km away from the Sea of Japan. As early as the Tang Dynasty, it was already the territory of China, and it was also the only place for Japanese trade in the Tang Dynasty. Fang Chuan Village, an obscure place, is now the only place in China where you can see the Sea of Japan on land.
By the end of the Qing dynasty, the Qing government was decadent, and the powers invaded in turn, signing numerous treaties that humiliated the country. At that time, Russia was one of the great powers that bullied the Qing government. Although Russia beat China less often than Britain, France and other countries, it can coerce and seduce China in the name of mediation and become the biggest power. Russia's biggest occupation of China's territory occupied more than 600,000 square kilometers of land outside the northeast of China, with the Heilongjiang River and Tumen River as the boundaries, making the northeast of China completely lose its sea port.
Later, Russia and the Qing government set up boundary markers, and they also wanted to set up boundary markers on the land under the jurisdiction of the Qing government. Wu Dadeng, the minister of Manchu Dynasty, discovered this matter. Knowing Russia's intrigue, he negotiated with Russian officials to try to move the Russian boundary pillar to the actual border and reserve Fang Chuan village for China.
1957, the Tumen River flooded, and a narrow passage from Fang Chuan village to China was washed away by the flood, and Fang Chuan village completely became an enclave in China. It was not until 1983 that China rebuilt a road less than 1000 meters wide and 8 meters wide, connecting Fang Chuan Village with Chinese mainland.
Today, Fang Chuan Village has become a famous scenic spot in China. Standing on the land of Fangchuan Village, you can have a panoramic view of the scenery of Russia and North Korea, which can be described as a treasure trove of geomantic omen. In fact, Fang Chuan Village is more historic than the scenery. Looking at the boundary markers standing in the village, we can think of the glory and humiliation of that year, make people remember history, recall the slogan of our ancestors "fighting for the rise of China", and inspire people to move forward!
