The Historical Evolution of Liu Liping Town
According to historical records, Liu Liping has been a fief since Xia and Shang Dynasties. When the king of Wu attacked, he was a vassal state of the Western Zhou Dynasty. Wudang County was established in Qin and Han Dynasties and was subordinate to Wudang County. When Emperor Kaidi of Sui Dynasty was founded in the name of "water equalization" in five years, it was subordinate to the state.

On June 1949 10 1 day, the county government was renamed as Xunxian People's Government. Liu Liping, referred to as Xixiang for short, governs 9 villages: Xiaochuan, Hezhi, Bailang, Fendaoguan, Xihe, Yuanjiahe, Haokou, Sunjiawan and Liu Liping.

1September 1952 was changed to the third district of the county, which governs 18 township. 1956 was changed to Liu Liping district, which governs 13 townships.

In September, 1958 was changed to Liu Liping People's Commune, which governs 8 administrative districts and 163 brigades.

1975, the district was merged and changed to Liu Liping commune, which governs 9 administrative districts.

In August 1983, Xun County was renamed danjiangkou city. Liu Liping District was renamed as Liu Liping District and Liu Liping Town, with two brands and one team. It governs 6 townships and offices, with the brigade changed to village and the production team changed to group.

In 2003, Liu Liping Town abolished six administrative districts, and 34 villages were merged into 20 villagers' committees (He Gang Village, Daliushu Village, Caishenmiao Village, Yangjiachuan Village, Hualishu Village, Yuejiachuan Village, Liu Liping Village, Jiangjiagou Village, Sunjiawan Village, Majiagang Village, Haokou Village, Shizigou Village, Yangjiawan Village and Wujiagou Village).
