Who killed Zhang Ren in the Three Kingdoms?
When Liu Bei attacked Liu Zhang, Zhang Ren led an army to attack Liu Bei and was defeated and killed.

Liu Zhang had several loyal ministers, such as Zhang Ren, who died generously, Yan Yan, a beheaded general, Huang Quan, whose teeth were broken, and so on. Zhang Ren is the most outstanding one.

Liu Bei invited Liu Zhang to dinner, Pang Tong arranged for Wei Yan to dance his sword in an attempt to assassinate Liu Zhang, and Zhang Song drew his sword to protect Liu Zhang. Liu Bei tore his face and led the troops to attack the city. Most of Liu Zhang's generals surrendered, except Zhang Ren, who shot and killed Pang Tong in Phoenix Slope.

Zhuge Liang designed to capture Zhang Ren alive and persuade him to surrender. Zhuge Liang's reason is that time is not on Liu Zhang's side, which means that it is a historical trend for Liu Bei to take surprisingly.

Zhang Ren did not deny this, but he refused to surrender. His reason is only one sentence: loyal ministers are not two masters. Liu Bei loves talent and can't bear to kill it. Zhang Ren said, if you let me go, I will go against you. According to the book, Zhuge Liang killed Zhang Ren in order to fulfill his reputation.
