China People's Liberation Army now has seven military regions: Shenyang, Beijing, Lanzhou, Jinan, Nanjing, Guangzhou and Chengdu.

In the 1980s, disarmament 1 10,000, and the eight military regions were changed to seven. One military region that was laid off was the Kunming Military Region where the 14 Army was located, and the 14 Army was changed to the Chengdu Military Region.

Chengdu Military Region: Sichuan, Chongqing, Guizhou, Yunnan and Tibet. (Adjacent to: India, Vietnam, Myanmar. )

Nanjing Military Region: Jiangsu, Anhui, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangxi and Fujian. (Adjacent: opposite the Yellow Sea and the East China Sea. )
