The Historical Origin of zhouzhi county Troupe
The history of zhouzhi county Opera Troupe can be traced back to "Zhang Overtime" founded by Zhang Fuao in the middle of Ming Dynasty. Although there have been several changes in history, it still has a history of more than 500 years. In the middle of Ming Dynasty, Zhouzhi opera was quite prosperous. The most famous is Zhang Fuao, a juren, who served as an official in Qingzhou, Shandong Province in the 14th year of Hongzhi (150 1). His prison administration was honest, and he resigned and returned to his hometown of zhouzhi county because of the darkness of officialdom.

Zhang likes to write lyrics, is good at melody, and especially likes opera. Zhang recruited opera talents in Wenquan (now Wenquan Temple), practiced in his spare time and worked hard on the farm, which won the favor of artists and attracted hundreds of people. Set up a theater box and set up a performance club-Zhang Jiaban. The performance at the temple fair was well received by the audience and soon became famous in Guanzhong. At that time, Kang Hai, a martial artist who had just returned from office, was congenial to Zhang. They compose music, talk about plays, write poems, comment on the gains and losses of performances, and often stay up all night.

Wang Lanqing, a famous red horn in the Zhang family, was born in a pear garden family. He knows everything from primary school art, playing the piano, singing and dancing. He is a famous Shaanxi opera performer. Because Wang Lanqing fell in love with Zhang Fuao and married Zhang Fuao as his concubine, he devoted himself to the art of Shaanxi Opera.

After Zhang Fuao's death, Wang Lanqing was heartbroken and committed suicide by taking poison. In memory of these two artists, Kang Hai specially wrote A Biography of Wang Lan in Shaanxi Opera. (Quoted from Wugong County Records)

During the Kangxi period, Zhang Jiaban went bankrupt and sold it to Zhang Jiaban, a village in Meixian County, for 240 taels of silver, and changed its name to Huaqingban. After liberation, it was changed to Meixian Troupe. The people in this class returned to their original places one after another. (From Zhouzhi County Records, page 443rd. Shaanxi Opera Record Xianyang City Volume, p. 345).

1952, Zhang Jiemin and other Huaqing artists who returned from Meixian county set up a new troupe in zhouzhi county. At the initiative of Li Shaotang, a democrat and former chairman of Taibai Society, it was renamed zhouzhi county People's Theatre.

1958, after the merger of Zhouzhi Meixian County and Daxian County, two troupes extended from Zhangjiaban were merged again, and Meixian Troupe was changed to Zhouzhi People's Troupe. 1953 Zhouzhi newly recruited young actors were changed to Zhouzhi People's Theatre Group 2. When the country is in trouble, it is divided into two groups, Zhou and Mei. Although there are differences and combinations, the traditional style of Zhangjiaban has been inherited in the second group of Zhouzhi Meixian County.
