The ten famous temples in China are: Fusaiji, Famen Temple, Nanyue Temple, Nanhua Temple, Lingyin Temple, Shaolin Temple, Ta 'er Temple, Nanshan Temple, Lama Temple and Hanshan Temple.

1, Fusaiji

Fusaiji is located in Putuo Mountain, Zhoushan, Zhejiang. As the Dojo of Guanyin Bodhisattva, Putuo Mountain is known as the "Haitian Buddhist Country" and one of the four famous Buddhist mountains in China.

2. Famen Temple

Famen Temple is located in Famen Town, Fufeng County, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province. The temple was founded at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, with a history of 1700 years, and is known as the "ancestor of Guanzhong Pagoda Temple". Famen Temple built a tower because of the relic, and a temple because of the tower.

3. Nanyue Temple

Nanyue Temple is divided into nine courtyards and four courtyards, surrounded by red walls, with a total area of 65,438+10,000 square meters. After the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, the temple was repaired 17 times, reaching today's scale. It is the largest and most well-preserved temple among the Five Mountains and the largest ancient architectural complex in the south of the Yangtze River.

4. Nanhua Temple

Nanhua Temple, located in Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province, is known as "the first treasure temple in eastern Guangdong". The temple was built in the Southern and Northern Dynasties with a history of 1480 years. In 968 AD, Song Taizu gave "Nanhua Temple", and its name has been used ever since.

5. Lingyin Temple

Lingyin Temple is located at the foot of Lingyin Mountain in Hangzhou. It was built in the first year of Xianhe in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (326). In the Song Dynasty, Lingyin Temple was called one of the five Zen Mountains in the south of the Yangtze River. Song Gaozong and Song Xiaozong often go to Lingyin Temple to worship and spend their leisure time here. It is the earliest famous temple in Hangzhou, and now precious cultural relics of various dynasties are preserved in the temple.

6. Shaolin Temple

Shaolin Temple was founded in the 20th year of Taihe in the Northern Wei Dynasty (AD 496). It is named after the dense jungle at the foot of Shaoshi Mountain. It is the ancestral home of Zen Buddhism in China, and now it is a world cultural heritage, known as "the first temple in the world".

7. Ta 'er Temple

Ta 'er Temple is located in Huangzhong County, Qinghai Province, 26 kilometers away from Xining. It is the birthplace of Zong Kaba, the founder of Gelug Sect of Tibetan Buddhism. It was founded in the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty and has a history of more than 400 years. It is one of the six monasteries of Gelug Sect (Yellow Sect) of Tibetan Buddhism and the first scenic spot in Qinghai.

8. Nanshan Temple

Nanshan Temple, located in Nansan, 40km west of Sanya, is the largest Buddhist Dojo newly built in China in recent 50 years and the largest temple in South China of China.

9. Lama Temple

The Lama Temple, located in the downtown area of Beijing, was built in 1694, and was later given to Yin Zhen, the Prince of Yong by Emperor Kangxi. It is also called Qin Yong Palace, where Emperor Qianlong was born. Two emperors were born in the same house, which became a "blessed land of thousands of years", and the building was changed into a yellow tile red wall, enjoying the same specifications as the Forbidden City. After the death of Yongzheng, it was changed to the Lama Temple, becoming the most important Tibetan Buddhist temple in Beijing.

Hanshan Temple, located in gusu district, Suzhou, was founded in the Southern Dynasties (502 ~ 5 19). Hanshan Temple was once one of the top ten famous temples in China in history. Thousands of years later, Hanshan Temple was destroyed by five fires. The buildings we see now were rebuilt during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, and there are many historical sites in the temple. Pieces of inscriptions inscribed by Wen Zhiming and Tang Yin can be seen in the stele gallery.
