Agricultural cooperative is a rural production mutual aid organization established in the early days of the People's Republic of China to resume production and enhance farmers' ability to resist natural disasters. Since the reform and opening up, various farmers' professional cooperatives have appeared in rural areas of China, which has greatly promoted the development of rural economy.

The early agricultural cooperatives were small cooperative and mutual aid organizations spontaneously formed by farmers, and their premise was still private ownership of land, that is, land was owned by families, and cooperatives only deployed labor during busy farming seasons.

Since the reform and opening up, China's rural areas have implemented household contract management. With the continuous in-depth development of agricultural economy, farmers' willingness to cooperate in production and operation is gradually enhanced, and producers and operators of similar agricultural products or providers and users of similar agricultural production and operation services are spontaneously organized to form mutual-aid professional economic organizations with democratic management, which are called farmers' professional cooperatives.

So as to organize thousands of small farmers in Qian Qian into a group, make farmers truly become ever-changing market players, improve the degree of agricultural standardization, scale and marketization, and realize agricultural efficiency and farmers' income increase.
