Compilation of Historical Flood Survey Data in China is a national summary of flood survey data in river reach. Based on the flood survey data of 6000 river sections, the survey results of 5544 river sections were compiled. At the same time, some flood data investigated after 1980 and used in engineering design are supplemented. In addition to the flood investigation data of river reach, 255 pictures of ancient hydrological observation, historical flood and historical flood inscriptions in China are selected as the background data of historical flood investigation and research, with attached volumes. Nanjing hydraulic research institute Institute of Hydrology and Water Resources is responsible for the compilation and publication of the book. The compilation of national flood investigation data is an important basic project in hydrological science research. This task was carried out under the guidance of the specific organization of the National Rainstorm Office.
