Judging from the silk fragments unearthed in Sanxingdui, silk products did appear in that era. Silk is one of the articles with China color. Historically, China was also called ""by western countries. The land of silk? . Speaking of the origin of silk, it is said that its inventor is Lei Zu, the wife of the Yellow Emperor. However, this statement has not been scientifically verified, so the origin of silk is still controversial. So far, there are archaeological discoveries about the origin of silk, which can explain that the ancients began to use cocoon very early. This discovery was made in the ruins of Yin Xi Village, Xixia County, Shandong Province. This cocoon is only half, and it is identified as mulberry cocoon through research.

The semi-cocoon site in Yin Xi Village belongs to the Neolithic Age, which spans from 10000 BC to 2000 BC. According to later archaeology, the ancients in the Neolithic Age had mastered civilization. The excavation of jade, iron and bronze related to this period shows that smelting, pottery making and textile technology are very mature. Among the four cultural remains contained in Sanxingdui site, one found silk remains, which also belongs to Neolithic culture, and the other two to four cultural remains belong to bronze culture.

In addition to the cocoon found at the site of Yin Xi Village, archaeologists also found textile tools at Hemudu site and silk products at Dawenkou site. Hemudu site and Dawenkou site belong to Neolithic culture. Therefore, China silk products appeared as early as the Neolithic Age. After entering the Shang and Zhou Dynasties, China benefited from the rapid development of agriculture, and the sericulture industry also developed. Archaeologists unearthed jacquard textiles from Shang and Zhou dynasties, from which we can see that the textile technology at that time was very developed.

Therefore, it is normal that silk remains will appear in Sanxingdui site, which spans from the Neolithic Age to the end of Shang Dynasty and the beginning of Zhou Dynasty. The silk remains found in Sanxingdui site are the largest physical remains found in this site so far, with an area of about 1.8*0.8 cm. This kind of silk slag adheres to bronze fragments, which is why it has been preserved so far. The reason for this is that the rust on the bronze fragments has antibacterial effect.

Today, Sanxingdui site has brought too many surprises to human beings. Archaeologists have successfully unearthed precious cultural relics such as bronze sacred trees, bronze portraits, gold masks, gold bars, Shang pottery three-legged cookers and so on. The six new sacrificial pits in Sanxingdui, which have just been made public recently, also continue to move towards the new China. With the increase of unearthed cultural relics, people's curiosity about Sanxingdui is further intensified.
