9. 13 Zi Gong said, "Sri Lanka has beautiful jade hidden in the clouds.
9. 13? Zi Gong said, "Si has beautiful jade and hides it? Seek good Jia (Gu) and sell it? " Confucius said, "This thing is for sale! Sell it! I treat Jia Zheye. "

Zi Gong asked the teacher: If I have a beautiful jade, should I hide it in the cupboard or find a good price to sell it?

Beautiful jade is virtue, Zigong. This is to ask the teacher from the side. Teachers have virtue, and their talents are as expensive as the world, or they are required to be officials.

Confucius replied, "This is for sale! Sell it! I treat Jia Zheye. " Of course I sold it! I'm waiting for someone who knows the goods!

How can Confucius not be an official? He has been waiting for the opportunity to be an official all his life, but he has never waited except for a period of time as an official in Shandong.

The key of this chapter lies in Zi Gong's "seeking" and Confucius' "waiting". If you ask, first of all, don't ask. Secondly, if you are determined to win, you will do whatever it takes.

"Waiting" is different. When Jia sells, I only concentrate on cultivating myself and constantly improving myself. When I come, I will give full play to it.

Interpret the king of empowerment?

Good Morning, everyone! Give a speech at night and realize your dream! Writing and speaking, seven times faster growth! The more you give, the more you get.

As usual, let's review what we learned yesterday first.

9. 12? When Zi is ill, Zi Lu makes him the chief minister. During his illness, he said, "After a long time, this is a lie! There is no minister, only a minister. Who is bullying me? Bullying the sky? Instead of dying at the hands of ministers, why not die at the hands of two or three sons? Then give it a big burial and die on the road? "

It is said that Confucius was seriously ill and couldn't bear it. His disciple Luz arranged his funeral, let his disciple play the role of a retainer, and prepared to give Confucius a heavy funeral with a gift from a doctor or a vassal.

When Confucius got better, he was very angry when he learned about it and took it out on Luz. Say: Luz! This is fraud. This is not the first time. It's been a long time. I'm not a doctor anymore, so I'm not qualified to take braces. You can get me some fixers. Who am I kidding? Is it to deceive God?

Moreover, I would rather die at the hands of these pretended retainers and in front of them, so that they can collect the body, than die in front of my apprentice-you! Even if I don't get a grand burial, will I die on the road Nobody came to collect my body?

You are ruining my reputation by cheating like this! If I die and really bury me with the etiquette of a doctor or a vassal, my reputation of self-denial and benevolence will be ruined. You are so confused.

Through this passage, we can clearly know the personal integrity of Confucius, and we must be self-denial and obey the etiquette, which is insurmountable.

No means no, no means no, you can't pretend anything because of good face! It is far better to do something real than to get those false names after death.

How to explain this chapter, please listen to my explanation yesterday, or look at the articles compiled by Qiu Yan.

Next, we begin to learn a new chapter, chapter 13, which is also a mentoring dialogue. Through this dialogue, we can clearly see how Confucius, the master of Confucianism, treated China's entry into WTO.

Zi Gong said, "Si has beautiful jade and hides it? Seek good Jia (Gu) and sell it? " Confucius said, "This thing is for sale! Sell it! I treat Jia Zheye. " new

Let me explain something to you first.

The first is Kun. This is the meaning of hiding.

The second one is Xie. What do rafters do? It's a cupboard or a box. The most familiar idiom is to buy a gift and return pearls.

That is to say, when a person buys beads, he looks at the box filled with beads, but turns a blind eye to precious beads.

The third word is Jia (Gu). What does Jia mean? Actually, he is a businessman.

In the past, businessmen were called businessmen, and businessmen were called Jia. For example, if I open a shop and you buy and sell, this is Jia. Running around doing business is called business.

Hong merchants sit in Jia, and now they are generally called businessmen, and Jia rarely appears. But we must know the connection and difference between Shang and Jia in ancient times.

Zi Gong played a joke on the teacher, and they played a charade. Through this riddle, we can see our Confucian values.

Zi Gong said, Teacher, if there is a beautiful jade, shall I hide it in the cupboard? Or find a businessman who knows the goods to sell?

The beautiful jade here is actually a metaphor for virtue, or talent, talented people. This is Zi Gong asking the teacher from the side. Teachers are talented, and they are virtuous. Virtue is like the world, like pearls.

Do you want to be an official? Is to be an official and give full play to your talents? It's best to hide from being found.

Confucius replied, "This is for sale! Sell it! I treat Jia Zheye. " It means: "sell it! Sell it! I am waiting for someone who knows the goods. " Think about it, no matter how precious a bead is, where is its value if it is not put in the cupboard?

Only when people make the best use of their talents and things can their value be fully exerted.

For a man with virtue and ability, he must do something for the society and let everyone feel his value. Otherwise, no matter how talented he is, he is unknown and has never achieved anything. What's the difference between having them and not having them?

Confucius spent his whole life looking for opportunities. How can he better contribute to the country and society? Of course, he came out as an official, such as Tang and others. They are all kings of a country, and the Duke of Zhou is in power, which is equivalent to actual power.

Because of their existence, the whole society has made outstanding and indelible contributions to the development of China culture. Only by seeking political power instead can we give full play to our talents.

Confucius was born at the wrong time, and his birth determined that he was neither Tang nor Zhou Gong.

Born in a poor aristocratic family, he has no chance to be in that position. What should I do? Then try to be an official, try to get an appointment, and give yourself a chance to display your talents.

But in addition to being a scout in Lu, he is also equivalent to the Minister of Justice. After a short experience, he made an alliance with the valley and helped the weak Lu Jun repel the relatively powerful Qi King at that time. In fact, there is basically no chance to show it in the future.

Later, he traveled around the world with his disciples for 13, 14 years, and he has been looking for such opportunities.

Some opportunities are available, but they are not what you want, so you give them up voluntarily, such as defending your country.

Later, in other countries, there was no such thing, and I was displaced all my life. But he has never forgotten his heart to save the world and the people, never.

If you can't get what you want, you should start to educate your disciples, let your knowledge and ambition spread all over the world, and educate all people through their disciples.

The focus of this chapter, everyone should see, one is "seeking" and "waiting", seeking truth from what Zi Gong said and getting a good price to sell. Or "treat Jia also", these two sentences are very learned.

Of course, begging is active. The first one is that you may not get it. I want to be a big official. If I want to be an emperor, can I be one? It's not that simple.

Second, if I have to do something, I will often do whatever it takes to achieve my goal. I will look at each other's needs and do what I like. I'm not selling my own values. Do whatever it takes to achieve a goal.

Is there such a person? A lot! That kind of thing is a gentleman's disdain. I'll tell you a story here and you'll know.

We all know that there are two famous military strategists, one is Sun Wu, and the other is Woods and Wuqi. Sun Tzu's art of war, in fact, also has the art of war of Wuqi.

This Wuqi, he is a disciple of Confucius, or a disciple, that is, some people say that he is a disciple of Xia Zi, while others say that he is a disciple of Ceng Zi's son (Zeng Shen's son is also called Zeng Shen). This man is from Heze, Shandong Province, and he is very talented.

He was born in a rich family with a lot of money. For the sake of political development, he once ran around looking for ways, spent a lot of money, lost everything and didn't get an official position. He was laughed at and slandered by others. Wuqi was furious and killed more than 30 people and all the slanderers.

When he wanted to escape, he swore to his mother, "I will never return to Wei unless I am a good minister." I studied Confucianism with Zeng Shen, the son of Confucius disciple.

Later, when his mother died, he didn't go back to mourning. Zeng Shen thought that this man was unfilial and unworthy to be a Confucian disciple, so he broke off the mentoring relationship with him. From then on, he abandoned the Confucian soldiers and began to study the art of war.

In 4 12 BC, Qi Xuangong sent troops to attack Lu. At that time, Lu Mugong wanted to appoint Wuqi, but because Wuqi's wife was from Qi, he was worried that Wuqi could not do his best because of his wife.

Wu Qi drew his sword and killed his wife to show that I have nothing to do with Qi people, so you don't have to worry about me.

As a result, Duke Mu of Lu appointed Wu Qi as general and defeated Qi. For Wu Qi, it was a battle to make contributions, but he got this position and this opportunity at the expense of brutally killing his wife.

This pursuit is not done by a gentleman, nor can a man like Kong do it. This is "seeking". Make every effort to achieve your goal.

Unlike "waiting" for it, when the price is sold, I concentrate on cultivating myself and constantly improve my self-cultivation and morality. When I had enough ability and moral character, the opportunity came and someone asked me to go out to work. I can give full play to my value, benefit the country, benefit the people and benefit the world, so I will give full play to it.

Confucius used to be a shepherd and an official. He has been an official for a short time, which is different from the economic and political outlook of the whole country. He once said that "the road is not picked up, and the door is not closed at night." At his level, it can be seen that Confucius' ability to govern the country is leverage.

So they were excluded by the Third Ring Road, that is, Ji Sun, Uncle Sun and Montessori. I'm afraid he later threatened their position.

We have said many times that Confucius has the ability to be king alone, but he doesn't want to do so.

When I went to Wei Guo again, I just said that he had been given such an opportunity. Wei Linggong gave him an annual salary of 60,000 stone, then asked him to be an official, and pulled him out to take a walk with them and paraded the streets. You see, I appoint people.

But Confucius saw that they only regarded themselves as a facade and a decoration, and they didn't really want to give play to their talents. When my ideal and ambition can't be realized, I will leave and resign, and I will find another opportunity.

Do you think, if he only did it for his fame, his wealth and his personal interests, would he do it? Can he throw it away?

I believe not, and he can do this because he cares about the world, helps the people and saves them.

By extension, whether we work in a company or serve customers, we should actually adopt this attitude. My existence lies in my value. If I can play, I will burn myself, serve customers well, work for the company and create value for the company.

If I can't play my own value and get recognition, I won't waste other people's money or delay my own time. All roads lead to the same goal!

Huashan here is interpreted as, that is, the relationship between seeking and keeping. Just that sentence, also keep it, the gap is big. Then someone will ask, what can I do if I can't wait?

The person who asks this question is the person who asks for adoption, not the adopted person. Do it when you use it, and hide it when you give it up. If there is no chance, you will cherish it, even if you go to the coffin, you will not regret it.

Like who? Yan Hui, the road to poverty and happiness. A spoonful of food and a spoonful of drink will not change the pleasure.

Because of what? There is no end to learning! I have no job. I just taught myself. I'm not idle anyway.

Speaking of which, let me introduce Yan Hui to you. We talked about Yan Hui in the last chapter. In history, Confucius was very kind to him, and other disciples of Confucius worshipped him, but it seems that Yan Hui left nothing, except what appeared in The Analects of Confucius. What is the reason?

In fact, it is because Yan Hui is called "re-sanctification", just like Confucius, because he helped Confucius to do many things. For example, Confucius deleted poetry books, decided on rites and music, and wrote Spring and Autumn Annals, which made an outstanding contribution to the collation of ancient culture in China at that time, and this contribution was not made by Confucius alone.

Yan Hui, as his chief disciple, made great contributions to it, but these efforts were well-known in Confucius, but few of them were signed by Yan Hui.

So everyone knows his name very well, but he can't see his works. In fact, his works are an intangible achievement in the culture compiled by Confucius.

Once again, before that, there was a great man, Jiang Taigong. It is "the person who treats Jia". He is very talented, and he can seize Zhou Wenwang and make great achievements.

As we said, Jiang Taigong was a warrior in China before Kangxi, and he was also the originator of a strategist and strategist.

Yan Hui died young and didn't get a chance. Otherwise, he will be like Plato in the west. Plato and Socrates are actually equivalent to China's Yan Hui and Confucius, and later Xu Ai and Wang Yangming.

Confucius didn't get the opportunity of politics, but he got the opportunity of education. He opened up a road of education by himself, and as a result, he became the most sacred teacher and a teacher for generations.

There is another person who is particularly familiar to everyone, and that is Zhuge Liang.

Before the age of 27, Zhuge Liang was lying in the first year of high school and devoted himself to Nanyang. Later, he was discovered by Liu Bei, who invited him out after three trips to the cottage. From then on, he wholeheartedly assisted Liu Bei and Liu Chan, Liu Bei's son, who won one-third of the world first, then devoted himself to it and died.

Zhuge Liang's opportunity is waiting. I have this ability. If someone asks me, I will do it. If there is no one, I will die of old age. Learning is not bad! Think about it, if Zhuge Liang doesn't go into politics and lead troops to fight, is he a writer? Is it an elegant person? Same. Yeah! Anything will do!

Just because of his emphasis on governing the country, his other reputations have been buried, just like our chairman.

Everyone has his own destiny. We have to accept our fate, we can't control our own. What you can do is a small part, just stick to the principles of your part.

It's time for us to briefly review, that is, Zi Gong made an analogy with Confucius. There is a beautiful jade. Shall we hide it or sell it?

Confucius said it was for sale, of course. I was waiting for the price. We talented people have to show ourselves to get a chance.

But I didn't get this by hook or by crook, but after showing it, someone really needed it, so let's do something, and I did it. Initiative is to show yourself and cultivate yourself actively; Passivity means letting others come to us actively.

Direct inaction is not a Confucian thought. Taoism is different from Taoism. Taoism is hidden in the mountains and enjoys itself, but Confucianism is not.

Well, this chapter is here. I hope everyone will listen carefully, think carefully and think about what to do. It must be remembered that a gentleman wants himself. If you have anything, use it on yourself first, and then help others.

At 6: 30 tomorrow morning, we will learn the next chapter.

Zi wants to live in September 1. Or: "What about ugliness?" Confucius said, "How can a gentleman be humble if he lives there?" I mentioned the famous saying "What's the matter?" What does this mean? We'll talk tomorrow.
