Kurdish history in the Middle East
Turkey said today that Syria's refusal to cede territory is a declaration of war against Turkey. This is obviously a warning to the Syrian Kurdish armed forces. In fact, the feud between Turks and Kurds has lasted for nearly a hundred years. Kurds are a nation that has experienced many hardships in the Middle East. Like Jews, they have been displaced for a long time and have been bullied. But unlike Jews, Israel was founded with the support of the United States. However, the Kurds have lost the support of the United States. At present, Kurds live in four countries: Syria, Iraq, Iran and Turkey. The ultimate goal of Kurds is to establish their own country-Kurdistan.

Of course, the hope that this desire of the Kurds can be realized is very slim. Let's take a look at the history of Kurds first. In history, Kurds have been conquered by many countries, and have been ruled by Assyrian Empire, Macedonian Empire, Seleuc Empire, Rest in Peace Empire, Roman Empire, Persian Empire and Arab Empire. Of course, there have been great monarchs like Saladin among Kurds, but this still cannot change the tragic fate of Kurds in history.

Before the outbreak of World War I, Kurds were annexed by the Ottoman Turkish Empire. After the defeat of World War I, the Ottoman Empire collapsed. According to the Treaty of Seve, Kurds were also allowed to hold a referendum to establish a state. However, just when the Kurds were excited to think that they could have a fixed country, the Ottoman Empire was overthrown, and the newly established Republic of Turkey quickly signed the Treaty of Lausanne with the allies, and the Kurdish region was divided into four parts, except a part in Turkey. In order to actively seek the founding of the country, the Kurds turned to the Soviet Union and the United States as their backers, and fought against Iran and Iraq respectively. Finally, Iran and Iraq are very disgusted with Kurds, while Turkey and Syria are also very discriminating against Kurds. They prohibit Kurds from using their own language and writing, and hope to assimilate them.

In modern times, Turkey has tried its best to suppress Kurds. In early Turkey, the measures were moderate. Turks built dams in the tributaries of the upper Jordan River to control the water quantity in the lower Jordan River, so as to suppress the Kurds in southern Turkey. At the end of the Syrian war, Turkey directly launched the "Olive Branch Action" against the Kurds, and the Kurds suffered heavy losses. Recently, Turkey launched the "Peace Spring" military action, and the Kurds are losing the United States.

Generally speaking, Turkey's will to exterminate Kurds is very firm at present. Prior to this, Turkey had completely torn its face with the United States because of the Kurdish issue. It can be seen that Turkey is determined to exterminate the Kurds this time, and the fate of the Kurds is also very tragic. However, this is also because there are certain disputes among Kurds, and it is a swing in the Middle East, and no one likes it. In short, today's Kurds can only ask for help.
