What were the ancient plague wars?
pre-Qin period

Plague has long been recorded in China historical materials. For example, "Zhou Li Tianguan Notes" records: "People's diseases are raised by diseases, and they are always sick." "Lu Chunqiu Ji Chun Ji" records: "Ji Chun is prosperous in Xia Zhishi, and the people are ill." It shows that the knowledge of plague has reached a certain level at that time, and it is believed that plague can occur all year round. One of the reasons is that the seasonal qi is abnormal, which is caused by "untimely qi"

The earliest extant ancient Chinese medicine book Huangdi Neijing is also recorded. For example, "Su Wen Acupuncture Theory" points out: "All five epidemics are easy to be infected, regardless of size, with similar symptoms ..., healthy qi is hidden inside, and evil cannot be done, so avoid its toxic gas." Su Wen's Instinctive Disease: "Jueyin does not abdicate, that is, the wind rises early, the rain does not fall, the wet order does not melt, and the people are ill, so we should abandon it. The wind is born, and the diseases of the people are all limb pain, headache, excessive internal heat and dry throat. " It is pointed out that epidemic febrile diseases are contagious and have similar clinical manifestations, which are related to the climate. It is believed that as long as "healthy qi exists inside", it can "avoid its toxic gas".

Eastern Han Dynasty

Zhang Zhongjing in the Eastern Han Dynasty said in the preface of his book Treatise on Febrile Diseases that "there are more than 200 Yu families. Since the year of Jian 'an (AD 196), two of the three people died before reaching ten feet, and typhoid fever ranked seventh. Feel the loss of the past, can not recover the damage, can only seek the ancient law diligently, learn from others. ..... "The' typhoid fever' in the text not only refers to exogenous fever, but also includes severe infectious diseases at that time, which shows that the plague was rampant at that time.

Three Kingdoms

Cao Zhi's Talking about Epidemic Qi records that "in the 22nd year of Jian 'an (AD 2 17), furuncle qi prevailed, and every family had the pain of zombies and wailed all over the house. Either close the door and die, or lose your family. Or think: plague, ghosts and gods. People suffering from this kind of pain are considered as the son of Brown Huo Ru and the ear of Penghu, Shi Jing! If the temple of Confucius is located in the home of Ding Shi, it is the gate of the sable cup. If it is, it is fresh. This is a disharmony between yin and yang. If the cold and summer are not right, it is the source of the epidemic. It is ridiculous for fools to hate it. " This paper describes the tragic situation of epidemic disease, and clearly points out that "furuncle epidemic" is not "ghosts and gods", but "yin and yang are incompatible, and cold and summer are not right"

RoyceWong, one of the seven sons of Jian 'an, also recorded in Seven Wounded Poems: "... I went out without seeing anything, and the bones covered the plain. There was a hungry woman on the road, holding her child in her arms and leaving the grass. Wen Gu wailed and wept alone. If you don't know where you will die, how can you end up together? I can't bear to hear that. ..... "is a true portrayal of the bleak scene at that time. According to historical records, there were 17 epidemics from Herry Liu, Emperor of the Han Dynasty, to Liu Xie, Emperor of the Han Dynasty. The epidemic has been going on for many years, and the people are in dire straits, even the scholar-officials have not been spared. For example, Xu Gan, Chen Lin, Angelababy and Liu Zhen, among the famous "seven sons of Jian 'an" in the history of literature, also passed away. Its horror can be seen.
