After the establishment of the company, it mainly undertook the construction tasks of the second phase project of Yangtze River diversion and the second phase project of Huangpu River diversion. Through 1992 stock issue and 1993, 1995, 1997 three times of capital increase and rights issue, 3,654.38 billion yuan was raised in the securities market, which solved the construction funds of the two major water transfer projects and guaranteed the two major projects. After the completion of the project, the raw water supply capacity will be increased from 2.5 million cubic meters per day to 6.3 million cubic meters per day, including the Yangtze River water system from 200,000 cubic meters per day to 6.5438+300,000 cubic meters per day, and the Huangpu River water system from 2.3 million cubic meters per day to 5 million cubic meters per day. The length of raw water pipelines and canals owned by the company has been extended from 44.98km to 128.7 1 km, including 41.82km, 86.89km of steel pipes, 69.93km of Huangpu River system and 58.78km of Yangtze River system. While expanding the scale of raw water supply, the water quality of tap water has been significantly improved.
