The earliest Yuntai was laid by Liu Xiu, Emperor Guangwu of Han Dynasty, with a history of nearly two thousand years. In 2003 10, Kaidi gave Liu Xiu a small amount of military forces and went to Hebei to recruit counties in Hebei. When he was in Luoyang, he often went to Luonangong Yuntai to observe the sun, moon, stars and morning light, and observe the wind, clouds, rain and snow. By worshipping the gods and sun gods on the stage, the soldiers can establish impeccable beliefs, encourage their courage to fight, and realize his goal of unifying the world and claiming the emperor as soon as possible. Therefore, the construction of Yuntai is an important measure for him to carry out military politics in Hebei. Liu Xiu is also proficient in Feng Shui knowledge. He saw a Yuntai in the west of Shore Village, with an east-west river in front and a lake in the east, which is really a rare land of geomantic omen. So in the spring of AD 24, he camped in Anshang Village and mobilized tens of thousands of soldiers and civilians to lay the foundation stone for Yuntai in the west of Anshang Village.
The height of a platform is ten feet and one foot, that is, one hundred and ten inches (people first saw one foot at that time). One hundred and ten is a limit concept, representing the highest. The total height is three feet three feet (equivalent to about eight meters today), which really reaches the sky and soars into the clouds, so the earthen platform laid is called Yuntai. After Yuntai was completed, the soldiers sought the blessing and protection of the gods, and Liu Xiu quickly put down the armed forces of the major strongmen and peasant rebels. In June 2005, he was proclaimed emperor in Taizu (north of Baixiang County, Hebei Province), namely Emperor Guangwu of Han Dynasty. Yan and Yuntai are only more than twenty miles apart. There is a big river connecting east and west, and there is a road connecting east and west. This avenue in front of Yuntai is also the place where the Han army trained and practiced martial arts, hence the name Liujiadao, which has continued to this day.
In 2007 1 month, Liu Xiu unified a large area of land in the Central Plains and Hebei, established Luoyang as its capital, and then moved to Chang 'an. Therefore, Yuntai was abandoned again. Liu Xiu returned to Luoyang from Hebei to build its capital. Liu Xiu gave full play to his wisdom and talent and completed his great cause of reunification. People think that this is the retribution from Yuntai and the blessing of the gods and sun gods. In the fame theory of the unity of heaven and man, the fame of Yuntai spread quickly, and thousands of people came from all directions to pray for God and burn incense on Yuntai. Yuntai Temple got its name from this, which means that the gods on Yuntai bless your life.
Buddhism was first introduced to China during the reign of Emperor Han Ming (AD 67). During the Southern and Northern Dynasties, Buddhism had a great influence in the whole country, and Liang Wudi in the Southern Dynasty designated Buddhism as the "state religion". Emperor Wen advocated Buddhism, and the government set up a monk official. The Buddhist power was supported by the rulers and grew rapidly in the Sui Dynasty for more than 30 years. During the first year of its establishment (58 1-600), there were temples and monks living in Yuntai. The reign of Wu Zetian was a golden age in the history of Buddhism in China. Temples have been widely built all over the country, and the number of monks in Yuntai Temple has gradually increased. During this period, Yuntai Temple was rebuilt and expanded. The reputation of Yuntai Temple further replaced Yuntai Temple, and "An Shang Village" was also replaced by "An Shang Village". During the Kaiyuan period of the Tang Dynasty, Yuntai Temple was recorded in Ningjin County Records.
With the development of history, Yuntai Temple has become an important activity base for dozens or even hundreds of miles around. It has a history of 500 years from praying for the peace of Yuntai, the sun god of heaven and earth, to the formal establishment of Yuntai Temple. At the same time, it is said that Li Shimin, Emperor Taizong, had taken refuge in Yuntai Temple. Tang Xuanzang went to Yuntai Temple to interview and practice. Yuntai Temple has a history of 1400 years. Later, after the death of Master Yuntai, Yuntai Temple was also called Yuntai Temple.
