1 1 century, a bloody war between nobles and civilians took place in Milan. In this war, nobles held the Red Cross shield and civilians held Bai Dun. By the end of the war in A.D. 1045, Milan was in a state of peace, and these two emblems were combined into one and became the symbol of Milan Autonomous Region.
Now the cross on Milan's badge remembers the history of Lumbard's first eastward expedition in 1095. The first troops to reach the Holy Land were Ottone Visconti, InVuorio and Olejo castelo. The ancestors of the Visconti family became the territory of Milan 300 years later. Five years later, when Lumbard's army returned to Milan, the city chose the cross as the theme of its emblem to commemorate the bravery of its knights in this holy war.
Later, the Red Cross on a white background became the team emblem of AC Milan.
