What is the historical record of Wei's construction of the Great Wall?
During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, Wei was one of the Seven Heroes of the Warring States Period, with its capital located in Henan Province and Shaanxi Province, surrounded by other powers.

In the 4th century BC, during the same period when Zhao invaded Zhongshan several times in succession, Qin State next to Wei State also invaded many places such as Jinyinyi at the junction of Wei State and Qin State.

According to Historical Records Wei, "In thirty-six years, Qin invaded my Yin and Jin."

In 369 BC, the State of Qin sent Shang Yang to defeat the State of Wei to recover the land of Xihe, and Wei Huiwang ordered the capital to be moved from Anyi, that is, Xiaxian County, Shanxi Province, to Daliang, that is, Kaifeng, Henan Province.

Since then, in order to strengthen the defense of the western border, from 36 1 year BC to 35 1 year BC, it was ordered to build a 500-kilometer-long Hexi Great Wall in the western region bordering Qin.

About this period of history, it is recorded in Historical Records of Qin Benji:

In 362 BC, the State of Qin attacked Wei Shaoliang, defeated Wei Jun and captured Wei General Gong Suncuo. In order to resist the invasion, Wei began to build the Great Wall at the junction of Qin and the west of the Yellow River in 358 BC.

In the ancient book Water Mirror Note, there is also such a record: "Leading Long Jia to build the Great Wall in the west."

The ancient book Historical Records Biography of Xiongnu said: "Wei has a county, and Hexi is bounded by Rong."

It can be seen from here that the Great Wall in the west of Wei was not only to defend against the harassment of Qin, but also to defend against Xirong, another country next to it.

By 350 BC, Wei Huiwang ordered people to build the Great Wall in Henan to defend the capital. Regarding this section of the Great Wall, it is recorded in the Book of the Later Han Dynasty: "There is a Great Wall, crossing Wu Yang and reaching the secret."

At this point, Wei completed the construction of Hexi Great Wall and Henan Great Wall, which was called Wei Great Wall in history.

So, where is the Hexi Great Wall of Wei? According to the Water Classic Note, "Weihe River flows eastward, crosses the Great Wall in the north, and is injected by a long stream. Water flows from Taihua Mountain in the south, and the Great Wall flows eastward and northward to Weihe River. "

"Historical Records" also records: "In the first year, Chu and Wei joined the Great Wall, and Wei built the Great Wall from Zheng. Weishui ... enters the Great Wall in the northwest and reaches the river from Huashan in the north. Wei is connected with the State of Qin, starting from Zheng County and Huazhou in the south, across the Weihe River in the northwest, on the east bank of Binluoshui, with Shangzhou County in the north, and building the Great Wall to border the State of Qin. "

In other words, the Great Wall of the Western Wei Dynasty starts from Yuan Chaodong in the south of Huashan Mountain in the southwest of Huayin County, Shaanxi Province in the north, reaches Weihe River in the north, and descends along the west bank of Changjian River. After crossing the Weihe River, it crosses the Luohe River in the north, and then goes west along the east bank of the Luohe River to great wall village, Xu Yuan, Dali County, with a total length of 500 kilometers.
