In the middle and late World War II, the status of battleships declined greatly. As the last battleship actually built in the United States, Iowa-class battleships were planned to be built at that time, namely Iowa (BB6 1), New Jersey (BB62), Missouri (BB63), Wisconsin (BB64), Illinois (BB65) and Kentucky.
Missouri is the last warship in service and the most important warship. Because the Japanese surrender ceremony was signed here, Missouri gained a different identity. It was revised many times later. Until the end of last century, it was still active in the ocean and participated in the Gulf War.
