The culture of the Tang Dynasty was unprecedentedly prosperous, involving science and technology, literature, art, history and education, as listed below:

1. Block printing. China first invented printing in the world. During the Sui and Tang Dynasties, there were Buddhist scriptures, calendars and poems.

2. Poetry is the most developed literary achievement in the Tang Dynasty, and Tang poetry has become the insurmountable peak of China's ancient poetry;

3. Huangmo Grottoes. The Mogao Grottoes is one of the largest art treasures in the world. There are now 492 caves, most of which were excavated during the Sui and Tang Dynasties. His artistic creation profoundly shows the wisdom and outstanding talents of the working people in China.

The historiography of the Tang Dynasty initiated the official opening of the National Museum to revise the history. Liu Zhiji emphasized that historians should have their own innovative comments in the process of compiling history, which was the beginning of China's historical theory.

5. The schools in the Tang Dynasty were mainly run by government, with imperial academy as the center and six departments under their jurisdiction. The school aims to train bureaucratic bookkeepers and also serve the imperial examinations.
