For a long time, Pishihang Irrigation District is a distant and yearning geographical concept for me. In the early 1980s, in a humble junior high school classroom in the north, a teenager living in an arid plain held a geography textbook and stared at the word "stone" for a long time, lost in infinite reverie. In my imagination, a teenager walked on the ridge of an irrigation area with criss-crossing rivers, and the wet water vapor floating on his face made the boy's itchy and crisp dream wet. Later, I traveled around Hefei where I worked. Every time I walk on Pi River Road, Shihe Road and Hangbu Road, I will always step on the "Pi" dream of my youth.

One morning not long ago, the launching ceremony of "Gathering Wind and Gathering History" was held in Hengpaitou, Yu 'an District, Lu 'an City. In the drizzle, my dream many years ago was truly presented in a wet state and within reach. A piece of Wang Yang is surging among the endless lush green trees and grasslands, and the waves gushing from the culverts are in full bloom and magnificent. This is the head of Pi River Canal, which is used to store the water discharged from Mozitan, Foziling and xianghongdian reservoir and the water from the upper section of Hengpaitou Dam. Pi River gathers the water from Dabie Mountain area with good ecology, and continuously provides high-quality domestic water for Hefei and coastal towns.

The Hengpaitou Hub Project started in August, 1958. The construction of Pishihang Irrigation District is growing here, and the "Pishihang Project Monument" stands tall here. Naturally, the activity of "collecting wind, appreciating history and appreciating Hangzhou" chose to start here. In the next few days, the collecting group visited every corner of Pishihang Irrigation District, and really felt the great changes in irrigation district construction in the past 60 years. Undoubtedly, the great changes in Pishihang Irrigation District are the crystallization of decades of hard work and wisdom of the people in the old revolutionary base areas of Dabie Mountain. In the process of collecting folk songs, we came into contact with a witness who left physical and mental pain for the construction of Pishihang, and heard a touching story of a builder. Moved, I am even more delighted with everything in front of me-because the historical Hangzhou in front of me is a veritable "ecological historical Hangzhou". The Pishihang Irrigation District project was not completed like some large-scale projects, and the ecological environment deteriorated accordingly, but the concept of harmony between engineering and nature was followed in the construction process.

Walking in every place of Pishihang Irrigation District, you can see that the sky is blue, the mountains are dark green and the water is clear. The air blowing on your face is pure and intoxicating, with the smell of flowers, earth and water. It is a veritable natural oxygen bar. On the way to Wanfo Lake along the "Jiuli Landscape Corridor", the collecting group visited three 4A-level scenic spots, namely East Stalagmite, West Anhui Rift Valley and Dabie Mountain Grottoes, two 3A-level scenic spots, three parks (West Anhui Rift Valley, East Stalagmite and Songliao Rock) in Dabie Mountain (Lu 'an) National Geopark in Anhui Province, Jiangjunshan Aqueduct connecting Huaihe River system and Yangtze River system, and Maotan Factory, a famous historical and cultural town in China.

Wanfo Lake, namely Longhekou Reservoir, is one of the five major reservoirs in Pishihang Irrigation District, and it is a national Grade II water quality. It is an eco-tourism project developed by people in Longhekou reservoir area using natural resources. Soon after its development, it has successfully established a national 4A-level tourist area, and won the titles of the first batch of "National Water Conservancy Scenic Area" and "National 400 Best Sectoral Afforestation". In the rippling Wanfo Lake, dozens of islands, large and small, are scattered all over the place, and are called "Qiandao Lake in Anhui" by Chinese and foreign tourists. Surrounded by mountains, the lake area is full of agricultural, forestry and tea fields, and dozens of natural and human landscapes are dotted among them. Being in it, I forget everything, and my mind is suddenly enlightened. An artificial reservoir to create an ecological scenic spot needs painstaking efforts, wisdom, foresight, and the dedication of "the predecessors planted trees and the descendants enjoyed the cool"-all this has been running through the dream of the builders of Shihang.

Like Wanfo Lake, Foziling Reservoir, another large reservoir in Pishihang Irrigation District, has become a scenic eco-tourism scenic spot while playing its functions of water storage, irrigation, power generation and shipping. The vegetation in the reservoir area is well maintained, and the forest coverage rate reaches 77.3%. There are more than 30 rare tree species listed as national or provincial key protection, which are provincial-level "forest ecological nature reserves" and "national water conservancy scenic spots". Foziling Dam was the first dam in Asia with international advanced level at that time, and it was also the first dam in New China. It is hidden in mountains and beautiful trees. Seen from a distance, it stands tall and magnificent, and the calligraphy of President Mao Zedong engraved on the dam is clear and dazzling. And the water birds are flying. The mountains in the distance are as beautiful as the sky, and the air full of negative oxygen ions is blowing slowly. My body is as light as vitamin supplements, and my mind is active. The dream of "stone", which began in childhood, found a practical foothold at this time, no longer chaotic, and gradually became clear.

Subsequently, the collecting group and his party visited Mozitan, Xianghongdian and Meishan Reservoir with great interest. As the third of the five reservoirs in Pishihang Irrigation District, its popularity is slightly lower than that of Longhekou Reservoir and Foziling Reservoir, but it is not "bred in an inner room and nobody knows her". In recent years, they have been recognized by more and more people with more original ecological characteristics.

A few days later, the collecting group traveled all over the mountains and rivers in Pishihang Irrigation District. This huge water conservancy project, which has brought endless benefits to the people in New China, has never been eager for quick success and instant benefit, ignoring the protection of the ecological environment, and has always regarded the project construction as a long-term plan, repeatedly demonstrated and meticulously produced, with amazing results.

After the tour, I returned to Lu 'an. That night, I walked alone on the beautiful Pi River. The lights of the city are flashing in the slightly flooded river, and the night wind with the fragrance of flowers and trees is everywhere ... The middle-aged man coming from the dry land plain in northern Anhui has a lot of thoughts, simply sitting in a long chair with his back against a big tree and facing the river, carefully combing his childhood "Shi Hang" dream over and over again. He suddenly found that a few days after touching Pishihang Irrigation District, his dream of Pishihang had a brand-new content.
