Knife Tower 2, also known as DOTA2, is a game jointly developed by Ice Frog (Icefrog), the core map maker of DOTA, and Valve Company of the United States. The test was started on April 28th, 20th/Kloc-3rd, and the Chinese name was "Knife Tower", which is the second work in this series.

"Knife Tower 2" invited Li Shihong, the voice actor of the Monkey King of CCTV 86 Journey to the West, to voice the new hero Qitian Sheng Da. Knife Tower 2 completely inherited more than 100 heroes of the original DotA, and broke away from the multiplayer real-time battle game of Warcraft III engine that the previous generation DOTA relied on.
