What is Lin Shucheng in Buddhism?

Shucheng county has a long history of religious culture, and there were folk religious activities as early as the pre-Qin period. When Emperor Hanming was in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Wang Chu's uncle Xuchang led Long Shu to believe in Buddhism. Shucheng has four famous Buddhist mountains: Spring and Autumn, Gai Hua, Luqi and Gao Feng. Nanyue Temple on Chunqiu Mountain was built in the Tang Dynasty. Shucheng county has Buddhism, Taoism and Christianity. Temples are mostly built in mountainous areas, churches are mostly built in polder areas, and most of them believe in Buddhism.

First, the Temple of Lei Yin.

The screamo temple here is not big in The Journey to the West. There are two places in the Leiyin Temple in The Journey to the West, namely the Great Leiyin Temple in Lingshan and the Small Leiyin Temple in Xiaoxitian, both located in Hezhou, Xiniu.

Leiyin Temple, also known as Leizu Temple, is located in Lianbi Mountain at the junction of Tianbu Village and xinglong village in Chunqiu Township. The temple was built in the third year of Xuande in the Ming Dynasty (1429), and it has been built several times, and its scale is quite large. There is Wang Yaodian in front, Leizu Hall in the middle, and dozens of houses such as Daxiong Hall and Bell and Drum Tower Zhashe in the back. The momentum is magnificent and the weather is strict. More than 70 bodhisattvas and statues, such as Wang Yao, Leizu and Guanyin, are all made of sandalwood. At that time, the incense in Lei Yin Temple reached its peak, and the sound reached southern Sichuan.

In the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, Zhang Qijun captured Shucheng and the temple was destroyed. Later, local gentry Dong and Zhai Gonghuang donated money for reconstruction. During the Republic of China, there were many wars. Although there is only the nave, the incense is still there. In the early days of the liberation war, Taoist priests in the temple sympathized with the revolution, and local guerrillas often settled here. At that time, Li Gan, then secretary of the underground Party Committee of the Communist Party of China, wrote a couplet for the temple, which read "The sky is crisp, the sun is shining, the lotus is fragrant, and the earth is full of spring". In the 1960s and 1970s, Leiyin Temple was destroyed by the "Cultural Revolution", the houses were demolished, and all the appliances were lost, leaving only three dangerous houses and several inscriptions. After the reform and opening up, due to the radiation of Wanfo Lake Scenic Area, tourists' pilgrims gradually increased. In order to implement the party's religious policy, Leiyin Temple was rebuilt. At present, three front halls and five rear halls have been built, which are dedicated to Guanyin, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, Leizu, Leigong, Fengbo, Yu Si, the goddess of lightning and other gods, and there are supporting facilities such as a fasting hall, a dining room and a fasting hall.

Lianbi Mountain has beautiful scenery and is known as "the lion lies laughing at the sky". There are various victories such as Leigong Stone, Storm Screen and Heding Rock. The ancient trees in the mountains are lush, and the flowers of Sophora japonica are snowing; Don't drive in the wood, climb the branches and follow the cliff. Elegant and quiet, pure and pleasant. Visitors can not only read the scriptures and meditate here, but also enjoy the scenery.

Second, the loving mother palace

Mother's Palace, Taoist Temple, is located in the west section of Longshu Road, Shucheng County. It was built in the former site of Kannonji by Hu Pengfei Qidede Lifting Co., Ltd., honoring Laozi's "the beginning of heaven and earth, the mother of all things" and naming it. Taoist temple is a three-story palace-like building with yellow tiles and red walls, carved beams and painted buildings, resplendent and magnificent. With a building area of 2,000 square meters, it is the largest Taoist temple in East China, including the Taoist Jade Qing Yuan Buddha, the Qing Lingbao Buddha, the Taiqing Moral Buddha, the mythical Jade Emperor, the Empress Dowager, Guanyin, Mazu, the Land God and the Monkey King, as well as historical figures such as Confucius, Bao Gong, Wen Tianxiang, Gong Peng and Shigong. Ancillary buildings include Cihang Pavilion, Collection Pavilion, Root Carving Pavilion, Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition Hall and Office Building. A place that integrates religious activities and sightseeing.

Iii. Wanfo Temple

Wanfo Temple is located on the north bank of Wanfo Lake. It turned out to be Longhua Temple. It was built in Tianbao period of Tang Dynasty, rebuilt in Yongle period of Ming Dynasty, and destroyed on the eve of the founding of the People's Republic of China. With the development of tourism in Wanfo Lake, it was rebuilt at the end of 20th century and renamed as Wanfo Temple. Now it's called Wanyuan Temple.

There are Mahatma Hall, Maitreya Hall and Tibetan Scripture Building in the Zen Temple. Among them, Daxiong Hall, with a height of18m and a construction area of 400 square meters, is dedicated to the white marble reclining Buddha, Guanyin Bodhisattva and Thousand Hands Guanyin. Zen Temple faces Wanfo Lake in the south and Xishan Mountain with towering trees in the north. Standing in front of the Hall of Great Heroes, you can see all the lakes and mountains, boating on the lake, and the majestic Wanfo Temple hidden among the green trees.

Fourth, Guan Sheng Cave.

Guan Sheng Cave is located in Guodian Village, 20 kilometers southwest of Shucheng County. Because there is a beautiful waterfall like a jade pillar in the mountain, it is called Yuquan Mountain. The mountains are steep and steep, abrupt and magical; Its peaks are steep and its cliffs are like walls. There is a natural cave on the wall called Guan Sheng Cave, which is used by Guan Yu and his entourage Zhou Lun and Guan Ping.

When Guan Sheng Cave began, there is no exact written record, but there is a saying about the establishment of Ciren Temple here. According to legend, at the end of Yuan Dynasty, Tong Xiande, a thirteen-year-old veteran of Jiangxi Province, avoided chaos here. Seeing Shan Qi, Shuixiu, stone monsters and caves, the people are pious. He used to worship Guan Yu, a warrior, so he raised funds to build a temple called Ciren Temple, which was dedicated to Guan Sheng, in order to punish evil and promote good and benefit all beings. Sincerity is the spirit, Zerun villagers, more and more tourists, more and more incense, Guan Gong showed his spirit, his reputation spread far and wide. After the war, 1984 resumed reconstruction. At present, there are Daxiong Hall, Guan Sheng Cave, Guanyin Cave, and statues of Gong, Guanyin, Sakyamuni, etc., for believers to burn incense and worship. There are many scenic spots in Yuquan Mountain, such as Ren Xian Village, Yuquan Peak, Lidou Village, Jinjibao Tianmen, Yuquan Well, Ren Xian Market, Yue Quan Pool, Emerald Valley, Gathering Sendai, Guzhai City Wall and so on.

Wanghua Temple is located at the foot of Xiaoqing Mountain in Lucheng Township, Shucheng County. Built in Xuande period of Ming Dynasty, dedicated to the statue of Hua Tuo. During the Republic of China, incense was gradually neglected and finally declined after liberation. In recent years, believers have rebuilt their houses on the original site, preserved the remaining walls and stone carvings, and reshaped the statue of Hua Tuo for people to pay homage to. At the same time, the surrounding gap will be opened up into a hundred herbs garden, and Chinese herbal medicines will be developed to benefit the people nearby.

Huokeji is called "Xiaojiuhua Scenic Scenic Area". It is located in Fahua Mountain, He Peng Town, Shucheng County, 30 kilometers away from the county seat. The temple was built for a long time. It was renovated in Wanli period of Ming Dynasty and rebuilt twice in Kangxi and Jiaqing period of Qing Dynasty. It is composed of Thousand Buddha Hall, Daxiong Hall and Houfo Hall. There are 99 and a half rooms, with Huizhou architectural style, brick walls and small tiles, blue brick floors, carved beams and painted buildings, sandalwood eaves, and ginkgo pillars on the top, which are dedicated to Buddhist icons. The original big clock weighed more than 800 kilograms, and the diameter of the big drum was more than 4 feet.

The morning bell and the evening drum are very imposing. Shanmen antithetical couplet: "The majestic Fahua Five Dragons cluster beads and Jiuhua are in one vein, and all the monks in Lin Ji have worshipped Buddhism." The main building of the temple was demolished in the 1960 s, and now only some former Buddhist temples and squatters are left. Around the temple, there are Guanyin Cave, Jiguanshi, Guniugang, master chair, toad looking at the moon, fairy playing chess and other landscapes, which are amazing. There is a well in the temple. Legend has it that it is related to the divine spring. The flood will not rise by a cent, and the drought will not fall by a cent. It's always been like this. It's unknown who it is.

Seven, Tianfo Temple

Tianfo Temple is located in Xudaping, Wanfoshan Forest Park. Originally the North Temple of the Buddhas. Built in the Ming Dynasty, it was destroyed by fire in the early years of the Republic of China and then rebuilt. 1957 was destroyed again. /kloc-rebuilt in the original site in 0/999, renamed Tianfo Temple, covering an area of four acres, with eight halls in front and back, east and west wings 10. The Ursa Mahayana Hall is dedicated to Tathagata, Maitreya, Manjusri, Guanyin and Eighteen Arhats.

The temple faces the picturesque emerald peak, and there is a large area of purple bamboo forest in the mountain. Backed by the majestic gongs peak, the pine forest is like the sea. In front of the door, the mountain spring is tinkling, the flowing water is gurgling, and the Xudaping Waterfall is spectacular. The mountains and rivers are beautiful and the seasons are like spring.

Eight, Baiyun Temple

Baiyun Temple is located in Phoenix Peak, the main peak of Gai Hua, one of the four famous Buddhist mountains in Shucheng. According to legend, there were temples here in the Tang Dynasty, which were rebuilt on a large scale during the Hongwu period in the Ming Dynasty and repaired in the late Qing Dynasty. Part of the existing Buddhist temple building. Baiyun Temple in history is large in scale, with tall halls and towering double eaves. According to legend, Su Shi, a great poet in the Song Dynasty, traveled here and left a poem tablet, but it was destroyed by the war. Jiaqing's Shucheng County Records records that Liu Bowen (Liu Ji), an important official in the early Ming Dynasty, visited Baiyun Temple. On both sides of the mountain road leading to Baiyun Temple, there are towering cypresses and exotic flowers and grasses everywhere. There is an ancient primrose on the east side of the temple. In the first month of the lunar calendar, flowers bloom to welcome the arrival of spring. According to local folklore, in the poem "Peacocks Fly Southeast" written by Han Yuefu, "The two families seek to be buried together, next to Huashan Mountain." It refers to Gai Hua where Baiyun Temple is located.

Nine, Nanyue Temple

Nanyue Temple is located at the peak of the Spring and Autumn Period. The original temple was destroyed the night before liberation. 1995, some houses were restored and rebuilt to worship Sakyamuni Buddha.

The temple is surrounded by mountains and peaks, and it is said that "Kowloon is a pearl". There is a "wooden horse land" where monks practice martial arts nearby, and there is also a "Huanfeng City" for tourists to climb mountains and sightseeing. This temple is not far from the county seat, with convenient transportation. There is an endless stream of people and tourists burning incense and worshipping Buddha here.
