Historical Development of Chiba Lake Ski Resort
Tonghua Jiangnan Ski Resort is also called Chiba Lake Ski Resort. The Japanese invaders were built between 1940 and 1942. Located in the southeast of Tonghua City, 4 kilometers away from the urban area. There were Yinchangzi Ski Resort, Xishan Ski Resort, Beishan Ski Resort, Shi Peng Ski Resort and Jiangnan Ski Training Institute. Except Jiangnan Ski Resort, other ski resorts are only used for Japanese training. Jiangnan Ski Resort is about 800 meters above sea level. There are relatively standard cross-country ski trails, alpine ski resorts, brick and wood landing platforms with the landing point of 1.84 meters and several bungalows. 1943, the "Greater East Asia Co-prosperity Circle" skiing conference attended by Japan, Germany and Puppet Manchukuo was held here. 1946 After Japan surrendered, Jiangnan Ski Resort was destroyed. 1953 the sports department of Liaodong provincial government reformed Jiangnan ski resort and built a wooden platform with a landing point of 3.95 meters. 1957, China State Sports Commission expanded Jiangnan Ski Resort again. Newly-built 1082 m2 two-story building with simple training room. 1957 to 1959, the "China Skiing" Games was held here.
