History of geotechnical materials
Geotechnical materials are geosynthetics widely used in geotechnical engineering at present. Is the floorboard of polymer products. As early as the 1920s, the Department of Chemistry successfully produced synthetic materials, but it was not until the late 1950s that this material was gradually popularized and applied in geotechnical engineering as a new building material. Early products were mainly permeable woven and nonwoven geotextiles, and later impermeable geomembranes were produced. With the need of engineering practice and the improvement of manufacturing technology, geogrids and other high-added reinforced composite products have come out one after another. In this way, the original word geotextile can't summarize the meaning of all kinds of products, so there are many alternative names in the world, among which the word geotextile is the most common, but it is still customarily called geotextile. Geotechnical materials are divided into several categories: geotextile, geomembrane, geogrid, drainage board, composite geomembrane, geotextile, geocell, bentonite waterproof blanket and so on.

Among them, glass fiber geogrid is a new type of excellent geotechnical base material for strengthening pavement and subgrade. This product is a net structure material made of alkali-free glass fiber filaments, woven by a unique warp knitting process and coated with special rubber. It can effectively improve the stress distribution of road structure, resist and delay the occurrence of reflection cracks caused by cracks at the base, improve the service life of roads, reduce costs and improve construction quality. This product is a newly patented product of the company, which is made of glass fiber geogrid coated with self-sensing adhesive. On the basis of maintaining the characteristics and functions of glass fiber geogrid, the geogrid is closely combined with the contact surface layer, which has the characteristics of convenient construction and smooth paving, and is especially suitable for the reinforcement of highway construction, pavement reinforcement, old road reconstruction and other projects. Composite geotextile is a new type of composite geotextile, which is made of glass fiber or high strength polyester fiber yarn and non-woven fabric by warp knitting or bonding. It organically combines the excellent properties of glass fiber and nonwovens. Geogrid not only has the characteristics of high strength, low elongation, high elastic modulus and temperature resistance, but also has good impermeability and filtration resistance. It is a multifunctional geosynthetic material, which can effectively prolong the service life of the project, reduce the maintenance frequency and reduce the project cost. High-strength polyester fiber geogrid is a new type of high-quality subgrade reinforced geotextile based on high-strength polyester fiber or polypropylene fiber, which is woven by warp knitting and dipped by special process. With extremely high tensile strength and low elongation, it can effectively prevent pavement cracking, improve the bearing capacity of soft soil foundation, prevent foundation settlement, reduce project cost and improve construction efficiency in subgrade engineering, thus improving the service quality and service life of highway, railway and other projects.

Geotextiles mainly have the following three series:

1. Needle-punched nonwoven geotextile, the specification is 100g/m2-600g/m2, and the main raw material is polyester staple fiber or polypropylene staple fiber, which is formed by needle punching. It is mainly used for slope protection of river banks, seawalls and lakes, flood control and emergency rescue projects such as reclamation, docks and shiplocks. It is an effective way to realize soil and water conservation and prevent piping through filtration.

2. Needle-punched nonwoven fabric and PE membrane composite geotextile, with specifications of one fabric and one membrane, and two fabrics and one membrane. The maximum width is 4.2 meters. The main raw material is polyester staple fiber needle-punched nonwovens. PE membrane is compounded, which is mainly used for seepage prevention and is suitable for railway, expressway, tunnel, subway, airport and other projects.

Three, non-woven and woven composite geotextiles, varieties of non-woven and polypropylene filament woven composite, non-woven and plastic woven composite, suitable for foundation reinforcement, adjust the permeability coefficient of basic engineering facilities.
