The ancient city of Kashgar is located in the southwest of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, about 700 kilometers away from Urumqi. It is an ancient city built repeatedly. In the long history of more than 2,000 years, this ancient city has experienced a cycle of construction, aging and destruction, reconstruction and repair, and re-destruction and repair. Until the Qing Dynasty, except for the gates, walls and some military defense facilities of the ancient city, the ancient houses in the ancient city were completely preserved.
