Xingwen County is located in the transitional zone between the southern Sichuan Basin and the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. It is the oldest, most complete and most widely distributed karst landform in China.

Location. Carbonate strata or carbonate-bearing strata dating back 490-250 million years are preserved in the park, which is rich in marine paleontological fossils and sediment marks. The park is rich in geological relics, diverse and beautiful natural landscapes and profound historical and cultural heritage. Various geological relics, unique Gelao history and culture, and colorful Miao culture are isomorphic, forming a perfect picture of natural landscape.
