Historical story:
Traditional Chinese medicine has a long history, and many famous doctors have emerged in history. Bian Que is one of them. When Bian Que was young, he studied medicine with his teacher and worked very hard. After he finished his studies, his medical skills were superb, and he went to various places to cure diseases and save people, so he was called "the imperial doctor".
On one occasion, Bian Que went to the State of Qi to see the Duke of Qi Huan. Through observation, Bian Que knew that Qi Huanhou was ill, so he said to him, "You are ill, and now you are ill in a skin. If you delay, your situation will get worse. "
If Hou doesn't believe me, he says, "I'm not sick. You doctors are greedy and always want to show your medical skills by treating people who are not sick. "
Five days later, Bian Que saw Jihuanhou again. He said sincerely, "Your illness has reached the point of blood. If you don't treat it, it will get worse." Then he said unhappily, "I'm not sick." Five days later, Bian Que said to Qi Huanhou, "Your illness has penetrated into your stomach. If left untreated, the consequences will be very serious. " Jihuanhou still felt that Bian Que was lying to him and ignored him.
Five days later, Bian Que saw Jihuanhou again, and he turned and ran away. In doubt, Qi Huan Hou sent people around him to ask Bian Que.
Bian Que said, "I used to be able to cure Qi Huanhou. But now that the disease has reached the bone marrow, I can't cure it, so I can only run quickly. "
Soon, the Marquis of Qi Huan was really ill. His illness is getting worse and worse, and no doctor can cure him. Before he died, he said regretfully, "If only I had listened to Bian Que!"
According to his own experience, Bian Que summed up four methods of diagnosing diseases: looking at the color, smelling the fragrance, asking about the disease and feeling the pulse, which made great contributions to Chinese medicine.
