Because Shanghai is located in the southeast coastal area of China, affected by warm and humid air currents, winter snowstorms are rare in Shanghai. According to meteorological records, there have been only four heavy snowfalls in Shanghai since 1950s, namely 1958, 1967, 1977 and 2008, and these snowstorms usually occur from mid-October to early February, with an average interval of/kloc-0. Most of the time, the winter weather in Shanghai is mild, and the average temperature is around 5℃.
Although the probability of snow in winter in Shanghai is very small, the influence of extreme weather such as sudden cooling, strong wind, rain and snow cannot be ruled out.
