There are many kinds of components in ancient buildings, and each component has its own characteristics and functions. The following are the names and characteristics of some common ancient building components:

1. Roof: The roof of an ancient building is one of its most remarkable features, which is usually divided into hard roof, rest peak, rolled shed roof and so on.

5. Kissing animals: decorations located at both ends of the spine, usually carved from glass or bricks, have the function of exorcism.

10. Animals: iron plates are set on the roof to prevent the tiles from breaking after the eaves are tilted. The front end has holes and is fixed on the ridge with nails, and the back end can move freely.
