Starting from the autumn semester of 20 17 and 1 2008, the Ministry of Education will organize new textbooks on compulsory education ethics and rule of law, Chinese and history, which will be put into use in the first grade of junior high schools in all regions of the country. Since 20 12, the Ministry of Education has compiled three compulsory education textbooks: Morality and Rule of Law, Chinese and History. From 20 12 to the first half of 20 17, this work passed the examination and approval of the national textbook Committee, which lasted for five years and completed all the editing work.

A total of 1 16 experts took the exam, of which professors and special-grade teachers accounted for more than 90%. The Expert Working Committee has held 24 review and consultation meetings, and more than 900 people have participated in the review. Finally, it is submitted to the National Textbook Committee for approval.
