How many Wei States were there in the history of China?
At least nine regimes in history were called "Wei", namely, Wei in the Spring and Autumn Period, Wei in the Warring States Period, Wei in the Cao Period, Wei Ran, Zhai Wei, Northern Wei, Eastern Wei, Western Wei and Wei in the late Sui Dynasty.

Wei State in the Warring States Period;

Wei was a vassal state with the surname of Ji, which was enfeoffed in the early Western Zhou Dynasty, and was sealed in the northern part of Ruicheng County, Shanxi Province. The monarch's surname was Wei. In 66 1 year BC (in the 16th year), the state of Wei was conquered, and it was given to Bi Wan, a descendant of Bi Guo (the ancestor of Wei State in the Warring States Period, Bi Zui was the fifteenth son).

Wei's original territory is now Ruicheng County in Shanxi and Dali County in Shaanxi. "Wei" means "big" (historical records: "Wei, great name." Fu Qian: Wei, Gao. ) When I was in Jin Xiangong, there was a relatively large-scale merger war in the State of Jin. In the seventeenth year of Zhou Huiwang (66 1 BC), Wei was destroyed by Jin. After the destruction of Wei, the land of Wei State was given to Biwan as a fief, so Biwan changed his surname to Wei (this is a bit like Shang Yang taking fief as his surname)-this is the origin of Wei State in Jin State. Bi's grandson was named a doctor and Wei Wuzi because of his active exile with his son. In the first 445 years, the three tribes were divided into Jin and Wei was a vassal, and Wei was established. This is the state of Wei in the usual sense.

Cao Wei (12,220,10-02,266) was one of the separatist regimes in the Three Kingdoms period. As the later Northern Wei Dynasty was called the "post-Wei", Cao Wei was also called the "pre-Wei" or "pre-Wei", and it was the most powerful country among the three countries.

At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, the world was in chaos, and Cao Cao's power gradually increased in the melee of warlords, controlling the court of the Eastern Han Dynasty and laying the foundation for the establishment of Cao Wei. When Cao Cao was awarded the title, he ruled Ye, the seat of Wei Jun in the Eastern Han Dynasty. Therefore, Emperor Xian of the Han Dynasty named him Wang Wei, hence the name Wei. In the first year of Yankang (220), Cao Pi forced Emperor Xiandi of Han Dynasty to abdicate, officially replaced the Han Dynasty, established Cao Wei, and made Luoyang its capital. In the second year of Xian Di (265), he usurped Wei, changed his title to Jin, and Cao Wei perished.

Northern Wei Dynasty (386-534)

The Northern Wei Dynasty (386-557) was the northern regime established by Tuoba GUI of Xianbei nationality, and it was also the first dynasty of the Northern Dynasty.

In 385, the former Qin Dynasty was divided, and Tuoba GUI became king in Niuchuan, rebuilding the country and making its capital Lesheng (now Hohhot and Linger County, Inner Mongolia). In 386, the country name was changed to "Wei", which was called "Northern Wei" in history. In 398, Tuoba GUI, Emperor Daowu, moved to Pingcheng (now Datong City, Shanxi Province). In 439, Emperor Tuoba Tao unified the north. In 493, Emperor Xiaowen TaBaHong moved the capital to Luoyang and carried out great reforms.

In 534, it was divided into Eastern Wei and Western Wei. In the eighth year of Wuding in the Eastern Wei Dynasty (550), Levin abolished filial piety, became independent on behalf of the Eastern Wei Dynasty, and the Northern Qi Dynasty was established. Zen was located in Yuwen Jue in the third year of Emperor Gong in the Western Wei Dynasty (557). The Northern Zhou Dynasty was established and the history of the Northern Wei Dynasty ended. From 386, when Tuoba GUI, Emperor Daowu, rebuilt the country, until 534, 20 emperors lived and enjoyed the country 148 years.
