Company 4 bravely blocked all enemies and covered the safe transfer of party and government organs in Huaihai District. On the same day, the Japanese puppet troops made a second encirclement and suppression campaign, and the Ministry joined forces with the Japanese puppet troops in Laozhangji and Zhuduzhuang areas north of Huaiyin. After a fierce battle for half a day, it broke through again after dusk and moved to Liulaozhuang area in the northwest of Laozhangji. /kloc-on the morning of 0/8, the Japanese puppet troops camped for the third time. Company 4 was ordered to organize defense and cover the main force and the transfer of party and government organs in Huaihai District. With the help of the traffic ditch in front of the village, 82 people of the whole company bravely resisted the attack of the Japanese puppet troops and made the main force and the party and government organs transfer safely, but the whole company was trapped in the encirclement of the Japanese puppet troops. Although several breakthroughs failed, they were determined to stick to it. The company correspondent wrote in the application for joining the party in FireWire: "When the party needs it most, I will dedicate my life to the party and the people and never lose face to our party and the Chinese nation!" The Japanese puppet troops concentrated their artillery fire on the position of Company 4, and the traffic ditch hundreds of meters long was razed to the ground. At the same time, the impact was carried out with a large number of cavalry. In the face of a strong enemy, the officers and men of the Fourth Company fought bloody battles, repelling the Japanese and puppet troops for five consecutive attacks, killing nearly 100 Japanese and puppet troops and fighting hard until dusk. Seriously injured, Bai He organized more than 20 people left by the company to bury the bodies of martyrs, burn maps and documents, smash redundant guns, and pounce on enemy groups with bayonets.
