Bao Zheng Xiren was born in Hefei, Luzhou, Northern Song Dynasty. Born in the second year of Xianping, Zhenzong (999), he died in the seventh year of Jiayou, Renzong (1062). He is sixty-four years old and posthumous title is filial.

Bao Zheng experienced Northern Song Zhenzong and Injong Dynasty. The Zhenzong period (999- 1022) was Bao Zheng's boyhood, and he lived in the countryside of Luzhou to study. Since then, he has been in politics for five years in the Renzong era (1022- 1063). At the age of 29, Bao Zheng was admitted as a scholar and was awarded Jianchang County. In the future, Bao Zheng officials became bigger and bigger. In the end, Bao Zheng was appointed as the deputy envoy of the Third Division, presiding over the national military and political affairs. The establishment of Tang envoys in Song Dynasty was not only the need of domestic troubles and foreign invasion, but also an important measure to weaken the power of prime ministers and strengthen imperial power. Bao held this position, indicating that the emperor trusted him very much. He is a well-known honest official and a competent official. Song Renzong was the most prosperous period in the Northern Song Dynasty.
